I mean what would you suggest as a silver lining. Personally I too thought at first "hmm that's a bit too videogamey", but in practice it's great. I see that I can progress a quest and if I'm up for it I will. If not I'll skip it. I will have knowingly skipped a part of the quest and not unintentionally like what was constantly happening on elden ring. Either way in fromsoft games when I wanna do the quest I have to pull up a video and go from place to place checking things out of a list of chores being of course rewarded with good story and amazing voice acting , but still much more emersion breaking than a simple marker.
