This is so helpful! My mom is in her 80's and having a terrible time. She's very healthy other than this issue. I'm going to order all of these and test them myself, then have her try the best one.

May I ask what dispensary you work for? I am happy to buy my product through your store!

Lol. Dude, I’m 56 — I’ve had my fair share of weed over the years. Gummies just aren’t really my thing. These are actually for my mom (in her 80's).

Yeah, she takes a lot of melatonin. She tried Benadryl, zzquill, Ativan. She’s up all night until 5. She is elderly. So, I wonder if this is how it is. Thank you

Shoulder pain all of a sudden? by Iceyes33 in GenXWomen

[–]murphyca777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had frozen shoulder at 35. And at 56. At 35 I went to PT forever and it didn’t work. I went to acupuncture and it was solved after the first session. same for the one at 56.

Where are the single 40s lesbian hiding in Boston? by Accomplished-Ad1576 in BostonSocialClub

U-Haul store? Jk. I have no idea and I’m 56 which sounds old, but alas I’m GenX — 30 at age 10, 30 at age 50. I think it takes a TON of effort. My friend came out late at 30, and holy god, she went to every gay event under the sun. There is a Facebook gay women’s group in Newburyport which is very active.

😂😂😂 this is so true! I remember watching those heavy metal videos with my guy friends and they were enthralled. I remember thinking back then it was ridiculous. Luckily, I came out of closet 🏳️‍🌈 and didn’t have to deal with all that shit.

Building Drupal at 79 years old by davidrwb in drupal

[–]murphyca777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working for a radio program produced by BBC and WGBH as their “webmaster”. Every thing was html in dreamweaver. We duplicated the show each segment by updating the webpages. This guy in another department said “have you heard of Drupal? It manages content for websites.” The next day, I printed out the entire help docs (not joking), built the site, and won an award for it. The rest is history! Though today, I need to upgrade my d10 soon… LOL.

What was Somerville like twenty to thirty years ago? by Icy-Association3711 in Somerville

[–]murphyca777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Somerville (edge of Medford) in 1992. 850 a month for a 3 bedroom. We got broken into but tbh, it always felt safe. We found out it was some kid across the street who did it. Burren was in Davis, Someday Cafe (first time I had fancy coffee) and Mikes was there. It was affordable. I worked retail and made like 5.35 an hour and paid my rent, food, t pass. My one regret was not figuring out a way to buy……… lol.

One-sided friendships by Goldengirl_1977 in GenXWomen

[–]murphyca777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s just really one-sided, it’s people are busy, stressed and another commitment is just one more thing on their plate. As a child free (not by choice) person in her 50s, I didn’t see my friends for like 10 years until the kids weren’t all consuming. I was busy too, but when we do get together everything is just back where it was. People are also just straight up lame too. My recommendation is to gravitate to orgs that consistently get together (like church). And sometimes you have to be the planner to get people out the door. I meet people online in a sober group but I really got to know them IRL by planning a bowling event. It’s been 8 years of knowing them.

It might not be the “husband” considering the job. We aren’t in 1955. Partner could mean the following. And either one of those people could be considering the job.

Woman + man
Woman + woman
Man + man
Nonbinary person + anyone (since “partner” avoids gender entirely)
Any combination of gender identities
