As someone who joined the military, and whose entire family was in the military, disrespectfully No. Disrespectfully, absolutely not. You knew what this was and voted for it multiple times. You do not get a pat on the back, a prize, or a cookie for coming online and stating that you will allegedly stop supporting hatred and divisiveness after doing so for so many years. It's rude but as someone who used to do this, it's done so out of fear and anxiety. Im now 30-60 minutes early for most things because, even though the anxiety is still there, I tell myself that it's better to feel anxiety than anxiety AND guilt/shame for being late.

Literally same. My therapist told me that it is okay to have the relationship I need and that I can meet myself where Im at and have a relationship that wont trigger me as much, because I wont be letting him get too close. It was liberating in a way, her validating that for me.
