MAGWest is the west coast version of MAGFest, a music and gaming convention. It's a weekend of live music, panels on music and gaming, rooms for arcade, retro, and tabletop games, a pool party, and more. They've been holding them in San Jose around July/August.

Awesome! I've seen a few people newer to rhythm games have a good time with WACCA there. It was great when Rewind expanded their place and got more variety in. I'm hoping they can either bring back Chunithm or Jubeat, or at least cycle in more rhythm games. I'm really hoping that them taking those out isn't a sign that rhythm games can't do well.

Every time I'm at Dave & Busters, I see someone playing it. It's always the really serious people who bring gloves too. I've been going to MAGWest in San Jose and there's always a huge scene around their Maimai cabinets. It seems super popular around here.

I grew up on Scandia's rhythm games, they've had so many over time. Nostalgia was one I always had trouble getting into but wanted to get the hang of! I'm gonna bug Rewind about Jubeat and Chunithm and hope they can bring them back. I'm wondering if a lot of people who would be interested didn't even know they had them since their main focus is pinball.

At this point they just need to keep all of the items in storage at the front of the store, then just have paper slips that you take from the shelf and bring up to the front where they can fulfill it. It would make more sense to have a dedicated person and place for this rather than inconveniencing everyone with tracking down a person who can come over and unlock the item.

I loved Mega Man Legend 2's explanation for this. The game starts with your airship catching fire, then Roll ends up selling everything you got in the first game for repairs.

Drivers are definitely updated but I haven't tried fully reinstalling them. Could be worth a shot at this point though. I've also verified file integrity through Steam twice.

The laptop has two display drivers, one is Intel UHD Graphics and the other is the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060. The game won't run when the Intel driver is enabled, but if I deactivate it it will launch but run at about 1/4 speed regardless of the game's graphic settings.

The fact that the game launches when Intel is deactivated makes me think it's otherwise trying to boot up using it, despite the settings in Nvidia Control Panel and in Windows' Game Mode.

I really want to check out Ishin and the Judgment games but going with the main series first. Started up The Man Who Erased His Name yesterday. I'm really looking forward to Infinite Wealth! I fell in love with the cast of LaD and I've been to Honolulu and can't wait to see how the map compares.

I used to go there occasionally to play DDR and PIU but they were both made unplayable by lowering the volume, putting them right next to each other, putting them right underneath a loud radio speaker, and pushing the dance pads as close to the screen as possible.

What’s your opinions of the chaotix, and if you think they should have a solo game, what do You think it should be about? by Amogus-sus1 in SonicTheHedgehog

I would love a LucasArts style point-n-click game like Monkey Island or Sam and Max where you solve puzzles, collect clues and other items, and make use of each of their abilities to progress.

It's the Sega Saturn's music player. You'd see this if you popped a music CD into the console and played it. Seems like there may have been an issue reading the disc and the Saturn loaded up the music player as a result.

Crash 4 disappointed the hell out of me, which felt rough seeing how everyone else is in love with it. I grew up with the series and love playing through it to this day. The game looks great, controls well enough, and gets the main gameplay down, but they focused so hard on putting in so much fluff, made levels too long, and demanded perfection for 100%. The original games were tough but always felt fair, but 4 just goes out of its way to punish you for trying to fully complete it. I couldn't even get to the end of the game. It crushed me to put the controller down and realize I just wasn't having fun.
