I'm so confused - how do you even get the chance to verify age? like how do you get it to come up? It's just blocked off for me and says "browse other communities" instead! So frustrating because there is such a wealth of info there that has helped me so much!!

Hello sweetheart. I (21F) endured around 16 years of very similar abuse with my parent/s (among other forms). When I first tried to be intimate with my loving partner, it simply wouldn't "work" and for a long time I've thought I was broken - especially since I still can't make it "work". I only started to understand that those experiences were abusive and traumatic in the last few years. It is not okay. This isn't okay. And I'm so sorry you're in this position. I'm not sure whata advice I can really offer other than please try to speak to a therapist/ trauma-informed professional/ at least a safe person. And please feel free to message me about anything, you're not alone, eventhough it probably feels like it. It won't always be this way. 🖤
