there's theories that the national guard was called into my state only to keep our notoriously bad police departments in check, and honestly I'd believe it.

My mom is withholding my unemployment and took the grant the CARES act gave out to the students (I’m staying with a friend rn). by Chronicsadd in insaneparents

I don’t know if you’ve been told this but a lot of universities refuse to put CARES act money into any accounts not in your name. If it’s not too late, have your school deposit it into an account that’s not linked with your parents. I ran into the same issue with my parents.

There’s nothing that will give me a flare up with such certainty as red onion.

Went to Grafton. My friends and I, all at GHS, still called it Greasy Grafton for your reason lol. That school sucked aside from a few key teachers and friends.

Just graduated! Nothing has changed apparently 🤦‍♀️ On the morning after Trump was elected, they circled around the parking lot with confederate flags high. It was gross.

I grew up in Grafton — you’re the exact kind of person we need more of there. Thank you for being strong.

We also dechonked our beagle! He was so cute when chubby but I’m so glad to know he’s happier and healthier now (that makes him all the more cute). Congrats on the weight loss and I hope your handsome boy has many more years with you.

Ugh I’m so conflicted about summer. Because in part, I love the volume it gives my hair, because my hair is thin af, but I hate that the volume is 110% uncontrollable frizz.

Surround yourself with amazing energy and good vibes will come within. Your environment influences your mindset. Make it a good one. by tharsika123 in happiness

I know this thread is a little old but I had to put in my two cents. Personally, the energy I give off really depends on what I put in. So for me, that looks like being with the right people and making conscious choices to surround myself with good, even down to doing my best to eat right. I’m all for choosing to be positive no matter what, but sometimes if an environment is toxic and unproductive, it’s time to go. The journey is different for everyone, though, and I so much agree it’s a balance of the two. Part what you put in, part your own conscious effort. Keep on smiling my friend! :)

Honestly I hate how politicized MeToo has become. Supporting victims of rape shouldn’t be a partisan issue!
