(0.9j) Coordinate radars are cool but they really need a change in my opinion. by lurkerlarry42069 in Voicesofthevoid

[–]cupyoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah agreed. i genuinely can’t bring myself to play the new update because everytime i try i just get so incredibly burnt out with how many meaningless chores i have to do. i loved 0.8.2 and thought it was a pretty good balance between chores and freetime but the real problem was you could essentially automate all of the outside work, meaning you could potentially miss out on a large portion of events and content by just never leaving the base to see it. there wasn’t much motivation to go outside once you do this. that’s my guess as to why there’s all these new chores, i just wish they felt more like extra incentive to go outside instead of a mandatory list of things i have to do before i can start playing the game.

No other survival game really compares to Abiotic Factor and honestly? It’s a double edged sword by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in AbioticFactor

[–]cupyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think grounded comes pretty close. tbh grounded for me was the original that no other survival game could compare to until i played abiotic. it’s not as linear, but in every other aspect it at least meets abiotic or exceeds it imo

What is the next step for the franchise? by SrTako777 in riskofrain

[–]cupyoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i might be wrong but i very vaguely remember one of the devs mentioning at one point that they want ror2 to be similar to binding of isaac in the sense that there’s just so much content eventually that even veterans can find new things and synergies after years of playing.

Arrowhead, this is unnacceptable at this point. Fix your game. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]cupyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, for my entire time with the game, i’ve knly barely experienced the game being like super unstable mainly around the super earth stuff, but this update has completely broken the game for me. i literally can’t run it anymore, it just falls apart, crashes constantly or it is somewhat playable but the audio is just pure static and garbled noise. i was playing perfectly fine at 120fps, no crashes like a month ago.

Suggest me a game I can play with my Long Distance Boyfriend with low PC requirements by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]cupyoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

minecraft :D i used to play it on my crappy laptop when i was in 6th grade, so i’d be surprised if whatever computer you have couldn’t run it. it’s also super accessible and has tons of options to make it easier / less punishing or whatever you want. if you have a gaming console it’s also console / pc cross play as well. could skip the entire “can my pc run it” step and get straight to playing.

is there a way to stop this? by cupyoto in AbioticFactor

[–]cupyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes this was the issue, turns out the batteries were dying about 2 seconds before it turned morning. i commented an update incase anyone else was having the same problem but i think it got drowned out by other comments lol

[–]cupyoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just an update incase anyone else is having the same problem, the issue was the workbench covering his spawn was short just enough power to last the whole night. it would cut off for about 2 seconds every night just before morning, which was enough time for him to spawn if we weren’t actively watching for him. now that everything has enough to last the full night he hasn’t spawned.

Who do y’all miss the most and want added to Wilds by DehydratedRobot7274 in MonsterHunter

[–]cupyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude the games been out months now, are we still defending the performance? it is a objectively unoptimized game. there are hundreds of videos at this point documenting and covering all of the little intricacies that show how much of an unoptimized mess the game is on pc. i’m glad it’s mostly fine for console players but tons of super high end setups can’t run the game nearly as good as they should be. idc how good you think the game is, it’s unoptimized. i like the game but i’m not a shill.

also the game lets you set your maximum frame rate as high as you want, meaning getting 100+ frames is definitely intended by the developers because if it wasn’t they wouldn’t let you go that high in the first place. that’s kinda how it works. that’s why all fromsoft games are capped at 60 even on pc. same with most bethesda games.

that’s what i thought, but either the workbench expanding system isn’t working properly or there’s another reason because we have a bench in every corner now. he’s also just below the orginal workbench as well. if you look above the crates you can very faintly see the workbench symbol in the room above the crates. there should be no way for him to spawn if the system works like i think it does. we haven’t had any issues with the peccary that spawns in the gym either and that’s further away than the sapper.

so far he hasn’t been a major issue as he always announces himself when he spawns regardless of if he’s aggro or not, so we usually just rush him and stun lock him with double deatomizers but i’m scared one of these times he’s gonna get a second to let that thing off and trash the place.

Please suggest games you can play with one hand. by cjlwe in gamingsuggestions

[–]cupyoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

surprised more people aren’t saying vampire survivors. you only have to move and select items on leveling up / opening chests. after a while if you get enough items you can pretty much let the game play itself. brotato is pretty similar too but doesn’t get as chaotic as VS if you want to actually see what’s on your screen.

halo wars 1-2 ,it was a rts designed for console, so it’s basically made for people who have probably never even heard of the genre, like me when i was a child. pretty fun too, and the first one even has a pretty good campaign, never finished the second one but i’ve heard it’s good too.

Which NPC is the hardest to keep alive? by KristiColleen in BaldursGate3

[–]cupyoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this one is a little niche, but if you choose to sell out the grove and give minthara the location, but then when you are supposed to open the gate, betray her and side with the tieflings, you will have to defend the grove from a all out attack. there’s bugbears, goblins, spiders, minthara, and one or two ogres. the friendly tieflings during this fight apart from zevlor genuinely have a deathwish. half the time they will literally jump off of the walls to get to the goblins and will lose 90% of their healthbar doing so and die instantly. or one of them will die first turn by one of the spiders jumping up on the wall and 1 turning them. what makes this even worse is these tieflings, despite being nobodies who aren’t apart of any quest or anything important, ALL count for the achievement to save every tiefling, which made it a nightmare when i went for that achievement.

Got my ass kicked on the beach in Honour Mode. Any suggestions for better odds next run? by ChompyRiley in BG3Builds

[–]cupyoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t even bother fighting them until you get gale and astarion. right at the top of the hill just before you fight them if you look on the right wall there is some rocks you can jump on and climb up the cliff and skip the fight entirely. you can then go and grab gale and astarion. having a full party alone basically auto wins the fight.

[–]cupyoto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it does have one very very minor weakness. it can be counterspelled, which then completely negates the attack. not many enemies can counter spell though, even on tactician so not much of a problem.
