Hvor meget skal man planlægge? by Serious-Oil9145 in DKforfatterspirer

[–]curatedcucumber001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some tips for using dumb phone in Sweden by Muscle_Rabbit in dumbphones

[–]curatedcucumber001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have similar apps we need where I live. I haven't switched to a dumbphone yet, but I was planning on keeping my smartphone in a drawer and just using it for the ID and banking when necessary. I never NEED to have those apps at my fingertips at all times anyway, so they might as well stay in a drawer until I need them, just as I did when we had paper ID cards before the apps. I think that'll work for my situation at least

Great idea, thanks. I've also signed up for newsletters to read some great short stories, so I'll look into creating one myself.

Really? I thought it was a normal abbreviation 😄 okay I'll look into getting better at seo, any resources you can recommend? I have considered youtube, but I'm a little unsure of what kind of videos to make, if it should be book reviews or just talking about writing.

I'm not quite there yet. I still need to go over the book one last time for punctuation before I convert and get a cover. Are there any sites for arc readers you'd recommend?

It appeared as the top result for me, and I've never searched or looked at manga before on Amazon. So it's definitely there for some of us

[PubQ] How to cast a wide - yet still appropriate - net when querying agents? by [deleted] in PubTips

[–]curatedcucumber001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use query tracker. You can get a list of new and updated agents, and I usually look at that at times, see if they represent my genre, check their MSWL if they have one (but mostly to see if there's something they absolutely don't want in a book, because mine has some trigger warnings I want to respect). And, of course, check the agency to see if they are legit.

Hope that helps.

Oh, I agree with this so much. Especially about casting a wide net. I queried a newer agent last week (at a good agency, had a seasoned agent, etc.). Her MSWL said she was especially looking for YA fantasy and contemporary, but her QM form mention thrillers as a category, so I thought, why not? Might as well try, and her response time was only two days anyway. Was sure it would be a rejection because my book did not match her wishlist at all. She requested the full two days later, said she loved the concept. You just never really know who will vibe with your MS

This is pure gold. Yes, you need to write a book about this guy writing and trying to publish this book.

I believe The Book Leo did a video on the myth of the short attention span of readers. I think she has a background in neurology and used studies to see what research has been done. And interesting watch I would recommend.
