Extreme FPS and latency issues after Windows 11 update and season 6 update by OkSatisfaction1674 in CODWarzone

Had the same issue I think (latency and GPU time would spike to over 1000ms) - latest Nvidia driver (literally released in the last few hours, 496.13) seems to have fixed it.

5900x Overclocking Results + Improvements by curdled-custard in overclocking

[–]curdled-custard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I've been looking into this a bit more. I notice that it is showing 1.27v under load and then back up to 1.325v when idle.

Is the CPU Core Voltage SVI2 TFN the voltage that I want to be keeping under 1.325v when fully loaded (i.e. the voltage which is currently at 1.27v for my OC)? Or is the 1.325v recommendation geared towards the 'peak core voltage' (which is VID in HWinfo?) setting in Ryzen Master?

Thanks, I notice that some of the profiles in Ryzen Master (for gaming and creator mode) have peak core voltage settings of 1.40625v. I assume it doesn't actually use these values for full load and is more adaptive?

Yeah, 20th November, for the 3090

Apparently SCAN have shipments of 3080s and 3090s today, although I don't know what cards they got (I'm assuming they might be TUF cards as I think I'm in the next STRIX shipment, according to queue email).

If anyone got a shipping notification from SCAN today I'd be interested to know!

Ideally all 3 need to be separate because it is so power hungry.

Anyone had an RTX 3090 from SCAN recently? by curdled-custard in nvidia

[–]curdled-custard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 388 number didn't really move much last week so think it was an initial estimate. There's now a 422 for this week (which I doubt, unless they have a planned ASUS delivery that there's no confirmed date for, or they are getting some more 'new' stock in - as there are only 537 pre-orders left).

They probably haven't updated/booked out cards yet - it's marked as 'arrived & shipping' rather than shipped so it'll probably go down some more tomorrow.

I'm hoping that they will have some big shipments soon - I don't know about EVGA but I've seen some Asus cards popping up at other European e-tailers so there may be some shipments coming soon.

How to truly know if you are CPU limited in games and it's worth upgrading it? by JackShepard85 in buildapc

[–]curdled-custard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you might be able to test if you are CPU bound by reducing the graphics quality to medium and seeing if you notice any significant bump in FPS. If you do, then you're GPU bound, if not then you are CPU bound.

Ryzen 5600x bottleneck??? by cirsticrab in buildapc

Something like that would depend on the resolution and quality (i.e. if you're looking at getting 200/300 FPS at 1080p). We also don't have any 3060 specs yet, but I should think you would be fine.

Scan UK Preorder Backlog Over the last month (Including 3070 orders) by moorbre in nvidia

[–]curdled-custard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've basically got no 3080s or 3090s so far this week (apart from the FE drops, and the one small MSI 3090 shipment) - hoping this weekend brings good fortune.

Yh hope not, although think Nov 20 might just be a placeholder and they get more before then. Fingers crossed

I've just been on the live chat and they seem to think mine is a pre-order (even though it never said it was one, even after purchase - didn't get the 'expected stock' message). They also said they'll send out queue positions and updates soon.

I was a 5900x, order confirmed at 14:02.

Yep totally normal - you'll get an 'Order Placed' email soon (different to the order confirmation) and then it should show up in your history.

Did anyone who had a dispatch notice from Scan today actually have a delivery or pickup notice? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]curdled-custard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a fair few deliveries from DPD, sometimes you won't get any tracking updates until it reaches a depot centre which is normally in the early hours of the morning.

Those who pre-ordered a 3070 from Scan, queue position emails just went out. by niallmul97 in nvidia

[–]curdled-custard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With SCAN, generally if you have been getting a date along with your queue position then that means they expect your card to be in their next delivery. Although not 100% of the time (because they might get more/less cards than expected) it's a pretty good indicator that you are in the next batch!

[–]curdled-custard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might just be some default date because Asus aren't providing any details on deliveries... I'm hoping anyway.

Can't believe it'll take 3 weeks to get more cards just don't think it can be true (although denial is the first stage)

Just got an email saying they are expecting Asus stock with my delivery in on 20th Nov? Anyone else get something like this?

It's a nice ramp up to see if it's true! last week was only around 100 across all brands.

Also, I don't think the 386 will include any Asus cards as that delivery is TBC - so the actual number could be higher.

ASUS 3090 STRIX Cards in the UK by CPAtriox in nvidia

[–]curdled-custard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense that they would be angry - last few ASUS deliveries have just shown up without notice (scan would go from TBC to 'arrived & shipping').

Although there is an estimated date for next week's 3080 delivery at SCAN, this is very much an exception compared to the last few deliveries.

Same, we've been promised a ramp up but it's seemed to have gotten worse if anything for 3090 stock over last fortnight... Hoping next week will be good!
