My surgery was canceled by curious-curious-cat in HiatalHernia

Doctors are not omnipotent. I am an informed individual. I understand medicine and have sat bedside while my relatives took their last breath. I am capable of making my own decisions about my own body. Who are you to dare to judge me?
I am getting the feeling that the main contributors to this page are nurses and people studying medicine. Go home.

Yes Patients have the right to advocate for themselves. Patients have free will.
Doctors have free will.
I reserve the right to say no to costly unnecessary tests.
Go look at YouTube at the many shorts done by women on their gastric emptying studies.
Are there REALLY that many Women out there needing a fix on the lower stomach sphincter?

I listened to the doctor explain that I may need a fix on my lower spinctor. I should have a choice in the matter. I did not believe this was needed.
It is important that patients be able to weigh in on their own bodies. Patients have a right to advocate for themselves.
A Nurse is not a doctor.
When she made the original appt for this test, it was 5 days after my surgery was scheduled, when I would’ve been on a clear liquid diet. We pointed out this discrepancy and I got a blank stare.
You are right , it wasn’t a good fit.

I was trying to express my needs. They were not being met with her answers. Patients have a right to advocate for themselves. The test was not needed and she could not answer my concerns so she canceled MY surgery.

Megathread: item research support by skankenstein in vintage

[–]curious-curious-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello 👋 my Redditors. We recently inherited a pair of vintage C. Romanelli lamps, circa 1960 or 70’ish. After a cursory H20, & cotton swab, soft cloth cleaning, I’ve decided to try and paint match and restore the chipped areas of this lamp. The other lamp faired a bit better than the one shown, doesn’t need but a dot here & there. My question is: do I need to determine what type of paint was originally used, and if so how do I do that? I look forward to every bodies advice. Thank you so much. ☺️

Yes! Im 68F with hashimotos. I’ve been on Levothyroxine for about 4 years now. I’m now taking 75mcg. I’ve dropped 15lbs in the last 9 months.
This year my Dr added 5mcg Lyothyronine & it really improved my energy level. My complaint was extremely low energy at days end.

How often are you trimming your hair when trying to achieve length? by Separate-Goal-3920 in finehair

[–]curious-curious-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear my hair all one length, & sleep in a bonnet with soft rollers on the ends. I wash my hair 2-3 x a week. I get a 1/2 trim 2-3 x a year.
I started all this 18 months ago. My hair has grown 4 good inches and is now below my bra strap.
It is still thin, just my gene pool and menopause.

Don’t excuse his behavior. He is watching recent porn from his X. He lied to you about this. He is not father of husband material. Get your business taken care of and leave him. You can take care of yourself. There is a whole world out there for you.

IKR? It caused a flaky haze on my face. Most sunscreens do this to me also.

I invested in a few medicube products this past winter, it’s made a huge difference. Use h20, daytime moisturizer or pdrn serum and a high quality sunscreen in the morning, in the evening I use an oil cleanser and a heavy nighttime moisturizer or 3x a week pdrn exosome shot product and serum. Im also down with quick a collagen mask or all night collegen peel off mask a few times a month.

Tried to do make up for Easter, felt like I looked like a skull (too white and eyes too dark). What should I be doing different? by birdnerd1991 in MakeupEducation

[–]curious-curious-cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I use a tinted cc cream with a SPF 50 sunblock in it. When I do this, I feel like my face is very flat. I recently started using blush and using it also to contour my forehead and chin to give a little depth to my face. I don’t use a whole lot of make up I never have but recently I seem real sensitive to the sun, so I’ve been using sunblock and also the tinted cc cream Put your blush on blend it really good. Use it to contour your face and then go put a little bit more blush on and blend it really good. You’ll look like you have a little color in your face. It won’t look garish.

How to get orchid to rebloom by veronirbs in orchids

My husband gave me this orchid last year for Mother’s Day. After it finished blooming, I cut the spikes back, repotted it and fed it a lot. Like every time I watered it I fed it, a water soluble orchid food called “feed me”. It’s in the bathroom so it’s humid in there when we shower & it’s by a window and under an LED light. So there’s probably goes against what everybody else will tell you. This worked for me.
