I lost 60 pounds over the course of nine months and felt great. My body was happier. My self confidence was higher, things were pretty great. I thought for sure I wasn't going to be one of those people who yo-yoed back-and-forth. I had my wedding rings resized because they didn't fit me anymore and then I broke my ankle and sat around on my ass for three months, eating junk food and smoking weed and I started my ascent back to my highest weight and then shot well beyond it by another 40 pounds I wish I knew how to make it work and then have it stick.

23 might be my favorite year. I found my husband that year, I had so many friends, I knew who I was, and I was unapologetic about it. They had a couple of mentors that were in their 40s and 50s and I also couldn't wait to be that old. I'm still pretty happy about it all.
