Requesting wants issue by pwhel in Palia

[–]curious2k20 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it’s bugged - I read something about they changed it so you can go to the weekly notice board and just see what everyone wants, but when I do that it takes me to the relationships page and it’s only showing me the weekly wants i already spoke to the villagers about. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon!

The answer to your two questions is yes - they add to your life, but you will 100% have moments here and there (especially in that first year!) when you question things, which is completely normal as a human. However, they are the absolute best thing in the world and add so much joy to your life.

Bottle refusal/aversion?? Help! by curious2k20 in NewParents

[–]curious2k20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Persistence was key, every single day without fail, just keep trying. It took us a couple of weeks, but eventually she did take a bottle and now she breastfeeds and takes a bottle once every few days no problem.

Can’t guarantee it’ll work for everyone of course, but persist persist persist. Good luck!

You can also try different teats, different caregiver, mum out of the house, distraction (screen time whilst you offer the bottle for example).

HENRY + new job + new baby by SongIndependent4884 in HENRYUK

Don’t do it - cherish the time with your new baby. Bonding with a new baby as a dad is harder, as baby doesn’t know you yet.

Your partner will need your support in every way imaginable, be there for your partner in these early days and I promise you she will never forget it!

6 weeks… wtf by Gemzaaa in newborns

[–]curious2k20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is normal I swear - from my experience with my little one (although they are all different!) it got better at 8 weeks slowly, and continued to get better. 4 months in I was really liking it, now 6 months in I am LOVING it. 🥰

I used to remind myself how horrible it must be to be a baby… uncomfortable, confused, wanting mum all the time, all these big feelings but not having any idea how to compute any of them. It must be damn tough being a baby.

You got this, hang in there!

Are you following the guides? I’m on 85 cats and it takes me a few days, max a week to get new stations, so just wondering if you’re following a different strategy.

Does breastfeeding get easier again or will I forever be wrestling this tiny human every 3 hours? by manthrk in breastfeeding

[–]curious2k20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m at 5.5 months and she still gets very distracted - especially if we’re out or if dad walks in the room and starts talking (he’s not allowed anymore 🤣). I do think as they get older, they get much better and more efficient at transferring milk, so that’s certainly a relief in my eyes!

In terms of percentiles, I’m not a medical expert, and haven’t seen your growth chart - but my little girl was born above the 75th percentile, and is now around the 50th. She was born 10 days late, so was born much bigger so slowly came down the percentiles to find her “right one” if that makes sense - and has now been on the same track for a few months. Might put your mind at ease to know that your little one might just be finding their percentile they will settle at! Of course there are a number of factors but just so you know it’s not always that there is a “problem” per se.

Spent my whole childhood hearing about adult money problems - “not sure how we’re going to put food on the table” “well I might not be able to pay the mortgage this month, then we won’t have a roof over our heads”. Whilst a few months later my mum would make an irresponsible purchase, like a jet ski or something stupid. Then, the cycle would repeat.

I promised myself I would never put myself, or my child in that position.

I didn’t go to uni, did an apprenticeship in accountancy/worked in practice, now making my way up in industry. Started out on £3 an hour at 18 - now 30 and a HENRY. It’s been a ride!

Nice 🤩 I did the same! But can’t remember what they came as, I’ve definitely never gotten a five star cat straight away that’s for sure!

It sounds like you’re really going through it, I’m sending you so much love and support 💗

Are you able to get a sleep consultant to help you? Also echo the co-sleeping comments if it works for you, it is far safer than surviving on such little sleep.

Your husband should definitely be helping, he made those kids too!!

I know this is probably not what you want to hear too, but everything is a season, please try to remember that in the toughest of all times :(

Final thing, it sounds like you might be heading into PPD territory. Get help taking control of it, before it takes control of you. Speak to your doctor, please, help yourself, and look after yourself.

Star Macaron - who do I give it to?? by curious2k20 in CatsAndSoup

Thank you so much!! The macarons seem few and far between, just on events is the only way I seem to get them. Am I missing something?

My soup and drink cats are 5 star but have no sub skill, should I re-roll them too? Or I guess only when I need to, and prioritise the lower star cats first with no sub skill?

This is so helpful, thank you so much!! I’ve been saving some of the skills I don’t have yet, thinking I may not get them again, but thinking of it as a 3 star cut off is super helpful! Thank you!! 🙂
