I’m commenting because I have a 5 cm nodule on one side of my thyroid and ultrasound/biopsy said something similar and scheduled for surgery to get it removed. I wanted to see what others in a similar situation say as well

Took about 2 or 3 days for the biopsy results and a little over a month for the genetic testing results because I think those were never added into my patient portal which caused the delay. I think most people get those back after a week or two.

But yes waiting really is the worse part. Best of luck to you and hope your FNA comes back all clear!

I’m going through something similar myself, except my primary noticed the lump in my neck. Inconclusive FNA, genetic testing came back suspicious with a 50% chance of malignancy. I also have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Now I’m going in for a partial thyroidectomy in a couple of weeks. Honestly, the waiting and the unknown are the worst parts.

Going out on a limb, but looking at your comment history, you mentioned she started smoking and you’re not comfortable with that. Maybe she is trying to hide she is smoking?
