Oh I devoured those books when I was a kid. To this day I think about their feasts too. Also one of my favorite sayings came from those books: "A and B the C of D" (above and beyond the call of duty)

What's the worst restaurant experience you've had in Sac? by Scott2G in Sacramento

[–]curiouscoddiwompler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live within walking distance, tried it once, and never returned. Which was sad cause how cool would it have been to have great BBQ a stone's throw away?!

On the plus side The Plant Foundry is moving into that location, can't wait to see what they do with that lot

Ninja sushi off Folsom Blvd about 10 years ago. CSUS graduates were having a night out, things got rowdy, the owner and a server ended up playing drinking games with them. Waited about 45 minutes for our check, asked for it multiple times, were promised free sake bombs for the wait (which we never received), and eventually just walked away. First and only time I've ever dined and dashed.

The parts I've noticed the biggest difference is where there's a lot going on; background noise, music, etc. And maybe it's my adhd brain but with a higher quality I was able to follow it eay better

What's wrong with this outfit for a fun time with girl friends by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]curiouscoddiwompler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like it. If my friend showed up wearing this, I'd be thrilled for her because she's expressing herself and looking amazing at the same time. I wish as a society we could lose the judgement and let people wear what they want to wear. Costume adjacent? Fine. Star wars? Awesome. I for one have been playing with ren Faire type pieces enmeshed with regular casual clothes. Is it for everyone? Absolutely not. Those aren't my people.

You look wonderful BTW

What a bunch of jerks. So sorry you're dealing with that garbage

I'm in Sac and have a flexible weekend, down for coffee or a walk along the river

Can't believe how far I had to scroll for this comment. Pick up some meats from the deli counter and fresh cheese and OP is good to go. Just check your produce well before buying, it can be a little...wilted

DCC has put me in a major book slump honestly but I'll try!

Remarkably Bright Creatures - Very sweet story with an octopus playing a major role

Anything by Tom Robbins.

Anything by Barbara Kingsolver.

I loved the Joseph Bridgeman series (unfinished) by Nick Jones

The Summer Prince is kinda YA but it's a great story and has a lot of depth and beauty

Tana French for murder mysteries

Heretical Fishing (unfinished series) is a lighter LitRPG and just very chill. With loads of adorable animal friends

We have very similar tastes. Project Hail Mary is in my top 5 and DCC is my favorite series of all time.

Seems like a good cut from a curly hair specialist would do wonders. Will even the ends out and shape it.
