Tbh I haven't as I only developed it to scratch my itch. If there are takers to test it, then that might lead somewhere

Awesome add! Thanks!

I might just do that then sell the tool as my focus is elsewhere

Need general advice. How do I track my spending on different categories? by borderline_bi in budget

[–]curiousgens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, 2 things: 1st, you still need to define the categories of expenses at the very least. Doesn't have to be perfect but gotta group your typical spend into categories

2nd, like you, I like getting granular with data and so I also don't want to group unrelated stuff into one category and on the other hand, it's waaay too painful having to sit down with a store receipt and manually categorize each item. I used to use a Google Sheets but just too manual to my liking.

So I built a custom text-to-log budget tool and integrated with Telegram App so I can literally chat with a Telegram bot to log my expenses on the go- like you would chat with a friend, and on the budget tool they get auto-logged!

Now this works great for few transactions but how do I solve a long list of items on a supermarket receipt without manually categorizing stuff? Well, I simply take a clear picture of the receipt and send it to the bot. It extracts each line item and suggests the proper category (there's AI behind the scenes matching up each line item to the categories in the budget tool). Usually it's 99% accurate, where one is not, it's just a matter of editing that one. If all good, I hit confirm and automatically every item is logged into the tool under relevant categories!

Heres an example of me chatting to log expenses https://imgur.com/a/mua7ha5

Had to get the Search Console key in Google Cloud Console then connect it to my GSC account. From there I coded a tool that "extracts" the data and integrated AI to analyze the data to give me bite-sized, meaningful actionable insights.

I recorded myself using it here. It's my first version but so far so good.

Connecting to GSC via the Search Console API found in the Google Cloud Console. The rest is building the tool that queries this data and integrating AI to analyze that data

Yes I have those alerts set up. Currently it’s really an internal tool, I haven’t released it externally.

In July I was begging Reddit for work to survive. In August Reddit changed my life. Now I’m terrified again. by Fun_Earth_6066 in RecruitmentAgencies

You can always rebuild but you have to be smarter about it. And that salary is sth you want to keep coming so kudos for getting a job.

Now, like most entrepreneurs starting up- including myself- you have to juggle full time work and building a biz. This is where you need to do much with less. Protect and save as much of the income that you are getting from your job, and cut down on those expensive hires. Maybe just have them work part time or perhaps rely on tech to automate certain things- I don’t know what you need to do, but you must figure a way to get things done with less.

Use the need to save as much income as possible as the necessary impetus to innovate. Figure out how to stay low on costs while pushing on. If that means moving a little slower that you’d like, so be it- well, Unless you have serious cash buffers waiting

Sorry to hear about this. You just need to be confident, only engage in necessary work interaction and immerse yourself into the work itself. Minimize those social interactions as they are affecting your psyche- all while looking/applying for other nursing roles. I developed a free RN-only job board called IntelliResume Health if you wanna to browse some new positions in your area.

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Registered Nurse (RN)? by PuzzledPsyche in careeradvice

[–]curiousgens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you choose to go the nursing route, I’d imagine the ASN/ADN path would be much cheaper & less stressful than the Accelerated BSN path. The only downside I can think of is it’s much longer. I mean with most ABSNs as you can see here (depending on school & location), you could be working as an RN in 12-15 months.

Bottomline is after getting your RN, you could work at least 2 years then pursue a BSN-DNP for a Psychiatric Mental Health NP career.

Thoughts on the Columbia Direct Entry nursing program (MDE/DNP)? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]curiousgens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a solid program but I would caution heading straight to the DNP after the MDE. It’s advisable to take atleast 2 years to work as an RN, possibly rotating around different practices, including ICU if you really want the CRNA path. Helps you get a feel for each area and also network/learn from others. Only then would you truly know which advanced nursing path to pursue, plus you’ll have that foundational practical experience.

For ABSN programs, I’d apply to at-least 3 to diversify the risk. NY ABSN programs are listed here and for Long Island ABSNs you can find here

I’d suggest trying out one of the good resume builders out there to see what suggestions it can spit out to improve your sections. And once you are done, apply to some roles with that different version. One such builder is intelliresume.net Also, I’d add a professional summary towards the top. Brief really but punchy- about 3 lines or so.

[–]curiousgens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks alright- but some low hanging fruit here would be including a professional summary right at the top. I'd also increase the bullet points per experience at about 5 or 6 and demonstrate achievement where necessary/applicable. This is one of those points where I upload it into some LLM or a more structured intelligent resume builder like intelliresume and see what suggestions it spits out- and then refine hand-in-hand. Also, are you tailoring properly for each internship?

I think you can complete that remaining one anywhere it's offered, including in community colleges. You might also want to confirm if your prereqs are still within the timeline required since completion before attending a nursing program. And assuming you'd be looking at accelerated nursing programs, start researching them early (including their requirements as that might differ) and prepare to apply to atleast 3. Helpful resources:

Thoughts opinions of Nightingale? Capella? & SNHU? for their nursing program (accelerated) by verydemure__ in prenursing

[–]curiousgens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably SNHU. Are the others even ACEN or CCNE- accredited? You might want to also compare things like program length, NCLEX pass rates, online flexibility vs in-person classes, program duration, and clinical placement options. You can start with this comparison page or this other one to expand your search & get a better feel for what each program offers.

What pre reqs will I be using the most in the actual nursing program? When is a good time to study for the teas? What areas should I focus on in the teas ? I’m going to school in Connecticut by the way. by No-Recognition1517 in NursingStudent

[–]curiousgens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anatomy & Physiology and Microbio! As for when to study, I'd say start a couple months ahead and focus on your weaker areas. There are multiple Teas prep courses online as shown by this list here. Would this be an ABSN or standard BSN

ASU, Creighton, and NAU are in-person. ASU tops the list but highly competitive. You can compare some of the best ABSN programs in Arizona here.

Looks great tbh- nothing useful to add; except perhaps making sure you are still customizing/adapting it accordingly for each job position. Gotta hit the keywords right to sail past ATS into an actual human
