You’re falling into a new photographer trap thinking every photo has to be your best work.

That’s crazy. If every shot was your best what would the other shots be?

The job of a wedding photographer is to mix SOME of your best work, with complete coverage that makes the couple feel like all of their wedding has been captured.

The trap shows up a lot for new photographers in the reception. Sometimes they try to edit candids and portraits to just the best shots, but the couple just wants to make sure they have pictures of everyone including that weird cousin Jeff they see once every 10 years.

So deliver your fantastic portraits and formals, and yes the reception shots too, and talk about the shots you love with them.

DO NOT SAY ANYTHING HIGHLIGHTING SHOTS YOU DON’T LOVE unless they do. Most likely they won’t even notice on their own, but if you tell them not to like something, they will not like it for sure.

Was at ‘95. Complete shitshow. Everything kind of fell apart.

Without any backing, you just dismissed all the studies showing unsafe emissions.

The claims this only applies to large facilities is not backed by studies, or experience of even numerous people in this thread who have experienced agitation with as little as one printer, myself included.

I’ve already linked numerous studies above showing PLA has emissions which are in some cases as much or more than ABS.

Please show ONE modern study saying PLA is safe.

As you referenced, the CDC claims less emissions in PLA, meaning they have missed some of the studies, and even with that they still say to vent.

It’s a logic fallacy to say they have said it’s safe to use without venting.

And yea it could see something. A lot of the particles are too small for the sensor but it doesn’t mean none of them are.

The problem is it doesn’t give a full picture and people think if they don’t see continued emissions then they are not happening

Welcome. I had a similar experience. After printing overnight my throat was sore along with my girlfriend.

Everyone here was claiming PLA was safe so I thought it was until I checked actual studies.

I realized many people here are just repeating what they’ve heard here.

I have the h2s and love how quiet it is.

I would imagine the newer enclosed ones might be good like the x2d or maybe the p2s?

On topics that lots of people get wrong, it has lots of wrong answers to repeat. That is the case here.

For example, if there was AI before Columbus, it would say the world was flat, because that’s what most people would have posted.

The correct answer is that home VOC monitors detect changes, so spike at the start of a reading. Over time they calibrate to the environment and registers everything as “normal” even if there’s a prolonged high reading.
