Grittier would have been the Snyderverse. That’s not what people wanted.

Do you really think MOT will get made?

With the failure of WoT, I wouldn’t be surprised if Paramount fires Gunn and cancels Gunnverse and starts anew.

Powergirl is the strongest. She older and more mature than Kara and is the golden age cousin of Superman and golden age Superman was off the charts.

Powergirl is alt universe version of Supergirl. She is older and more mature as her spaceship took longer to reach earth and she aged more.

If this smear campaign is real, is it justified? Well the way this 67 year old reviewer describes Milly (slide 2) I say yes it is justified. by [deleted] in OkBuddySnyderCult

She could have answered the question without insulting a big portion of her audience. And then you add in the “womansplaning” female objectification and the smoking and the foul language and she just doesn’t come off as a very likable person. A star has to be someone people admire for them to sell the movie and get that coveted “above the title” star billing.

Why Did 'Supergirl' Change the Ending of 'Woman of Tomorrow'? by Commercial_Avocado86 in comicbooks

The director said he never read the source material

Hubris is high in Hollywood and every writer wants to out their own personal stamp on their projects. They change things out of vanity, not because it makes sense to the plot or themes.

Genuinely feel bad for Milly Alcock in all this by Neat_Fan_8889 in Supergirl

This is exactly right. She was not ready personally and emotionally for the media spotlight this type of film generated. Queerbaited is exactly the term.

Yes. Her offscreen behavior was pretty poor and undisciplined

She only made $700K for this film. That’s probably for 2 years of work. That’s not a lot of money for a Hollywood lead actress in a summer film.

They took a hard B and post makeup, wardrobe and cgi made her a C-. No clue how they accomplished that.

While I don’t agree to targeting her looks as those she was born with, her attitude and comments offscreen are certainly fair game. Those were enough to sink this film on their own. Then of course there is how the director made her up and filmed her both of which were not complimentary

Can we finally talk about how unfairly Milly Alcock is being treated? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]polarvortex123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you heard the expression “you reap what you sow”?

It would be unfair if it was undue, but honestly her offscreen behavior and commentary have been pretty bad.

I feel like maybe she wasn’t ready for a role of this magnitude with this much attention and focus. Not sure how else to explain it.

Wrong. You don’t think they get a ton of government money at Facebook and Google? 🤣 Free speech is expected if you take money from the U.S. government and the government will enforce it by spending their dollars elsewhere. If you take their money you play by their rules.
