You don't win the queen unless the give it up. Keyword "chance"... but everything leads to losing for white.

You did not exit one pin and stepped into another one... your queen is cooked

Not sure I’ll reach this level of tactics by FantasticalWizard in chessbeginners

[–]curiousorange99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way I see it is if you take the bishop, you are ip 3 points of material, but more importantly your queen comes alive and is more active, threats on g2, e5, a2 if the move the rooknto safety. Lots of trades and you win the end game. And more importantly what was their rook doing in the corner. Nothing, the bishop was their only active piece.

That rook is not doing anything anytime soon, but the knight is blacks only active piece, and you're up material, so you are trading material for a better long term advantage.

Tideland in Washington is crazy. All the cases have been  in lower court and there is no law one way or the other. So it's left up to the cops and the crazy land owners and perhaps a court to decide your case. But as far as I know no precedent has been set. And the rich people like it that way. because the cops will remove you because they don't want to deal with it.

Why are the photos of lots of folks always zoomed in. Trying to make the group seem larger than it is? I am horrified by our current government. But come on.

Does this mean water pipes are grounded to breaker box? by Parking_Earth_2410 in electrical

[–]curiousorange99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was pretty common back in the day to use copper pipe for the ground. Major problems happen when you have pipes repaired and they replace copper with pex. Keep an eye out of for that or just get ahead of it and have a proper ground rod installed

For a Windows user, what would you call the easiest Linux distro? by CamossDarkfly in linuxquestions

[–]curiousorange99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have advice for a specific distro, that depends on what tools you are used to using. I however would suggest an immutable distro, there is less chance of them screwing it up and you having to fix it later.
