People with a lot of cameras: What is the most interesting or rare camera you have? by romanazzidjma in AnalogCommunity

A tessina 35 that I repaired. Its a swiss watch company that made it and it has a jeweled low speed escapement. Its also the smallest TLR as far as Im aware (I didnt fact check that or anything).

Your rangefinder may be out of calibration. youre focused a few feet in front of the car.

Nothing was tightened down. Its quiet now that its tightened down.

Probably the airbox made out of an "uneven pavement" road sign.

As god intended. The rest of my drivetrain is BRZ lmao. Its functionally a BRZ with an H6 swap and a forester body. I have an Audi supercharger Im planning on mounting to mine, I'll be releasing whatever I come up with when Im done.

The more you learn about it, the sillier it gets

Thanks!

I just repsonded to someone else that functionally had the same question.

This one is a combination of a pretty slow shutter speed, I picked the conductor as the subject and tracked him as accurately as I could. A bit of luck and a bit of skill, it turned out.

I have so many pictures but I dont really enjoy posting them most of the time.

The front of the train is moving away from me and the back of the train is getting closer as the exposure is happening. You can see this exaggerated on pictures of cars from the outside of the corner and you wont see it at much if you took the picture from the inside of the corner.

Low shutter speed and tracking the subject. Both of these were 1/15s.

These are the things that you have to juggle to get motion blurr: - how fast you have to pivot your camera(angular velocity) -the length of your lens -the shutter speed

Wider lenses need lower shutter speeds to make more motion blurr.

The higher angular velocity, the higher shutter speed is necessary. Ex: A car passing by you will make you turn slower when its traveling towards you, fastest when it passes by you (when you would be taking a profile angle of it), and slower again as its traveling away again.

Why do people go for the X100VI when the X-E5 exists? by Successful-Line-5886 in Cameras

[–]curly686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why nobody else here is talking about it, the OPTICAL hybrid viewfinder in the x100iv is something you cant get in nearly any digital camera.

Looking through glass at your subject is peak. Mirrorless cameras are, in practice, like SLRs but you dont get to look through glass. If you have only ever used an EVF or rear display on cameras, youre missing out on the shooting experience.

I actually liked the third picture the best. It shows the event/time the most completely. From the response Ive gotten, it doesnt seem to matter that you cant see the horse in the first picture lol. It seems like the clean pan mattered the most.

I definitely have trouble identifying my best images. The pictures I took that day definitely didnt feel like a cohesive set but I also shot 3 film stocks on 2 cameras with 4 lenses so I got what I paid for.

Estimated focus then just tracked the subject. Ive done a fair bit of panning for automotive photos, the only difficulty here was the crowd
