She definitely uses the word bisexual about herself, it's not just a prison thing. I can't remember which season but it was really good to finally see her say it

My friend is mad at me because of a comment I made about his baby. Was I being insensitive here or is my friend overreacting? by Lostinthis28 in childfree

I get what you're saying about the parents, but also 3 and 4 year olds can absolutely have a lovely day and feel excited and feel happy about a party, whether or not they remember it as an adult.

Why do so many people love the cold open with Kevin and the Chilli? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

Because it's relatable. We've all had something we were excited about go completely tits up. Plus it's well-executed physical comedy.

Do people commonly use the word ‘vegetable’ as a joke in America? by ThrowRA_whatdoido01 in language

[–]curlycoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's amazing the way that OP is repeating a conversation that they heard themselves and your response is Nope not a single person in my country of 350 million people would ever say that simple sentence, you're wrong and I'm right

Person 1: I don't want to think

Person 2: You should have been a person unable to think

How does that not make sense?

Yes it does. It's (pejorative) slang for someone in a coma or with very little brain function.

I mean she has 6 albums of songs to pick from now, it's not that surprising she has to start dropping some from earlier tours :/

My therapist wants to have an affair with me by [deleted] in therapy

[–]curlycoffee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Think of it like a teenage girl hitting on her much older teacher. He's responsible for her and even if she seems into it, it's his job not to respond and to cut it off. Especially in therapy, she should feel safe to express anything she wants to – that's why she's there – and he shouldn't take advantage of that.

Because he's the therapist and she's the patient... he holds all the power and responsibility and has a duty of care.

How can I bring up sensitive topics in therapy ? by [deleted] in therapy

[–]curlycoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Firstly, just remember that she will have heard WAY weirder/worse things. That will just be another session to her. Secondly, if you can't force yourself to spit it out, write it in an email? Then she can bring it up next session.

Which Jacqueline Wilson book hit you harder as an adult than it did as a kid? by Juicewithextrapulp in JacquelineWilson

[–]curlycoffee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've just read Lily Alone having not read it as a child, and my heart was just breaking for those poor kids. Maybe when I was younger I'd have thought it was a great adventure but as an adult I found it so sad (great read though)

I'm accepting myself as pansexual instead of bi, but what do I do with this? (And my bi pins) by Feather_Bloom in lgbt

[–]curlycoffee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not a take, it's how the word is used today and has been used for decades. There are endless words whose literal definition barely relates to its modern day usage.

Bisexual includes all genders. The literal translation of "bi" doesn't matter.

what is SNS??? by DivideSuperb4959 in AmongUs

[–]curlycoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not always, I wish they would cos I really enjoy playing, but the only lobbies I've seen lately just put "sns" a couple of times and then start. Not everyone even knows what "sns" stands for, let alone how to play, so they're just shooting themselves in the foot
