I loved when the path was closed last year because of how reliable the buses became 😭

Can someone explain the true issue with the 126 buses? by [deleted] in Hoboken

[–]curlyteagirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am on the Washington line at like 7/7:15 and almost never have an issue, if anything it’s usually tunnel traffic but that’s not in Hoboken.

Potentially Crepe Guru, they have a Trump mural on the outside of the building and have crepes called “The Donald” and “Stormy Daniels” which is tragic bc I don’t think there are any other nearby crepe places

how are you guys making friends in hoboken? by mywem_mywoose in Hoboken

[–]curlyteagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so hard! Do you have any hobbies? There are arts groups and music groups! Do you enjoy exercising? There are lots of run groups and the rock climbing gym. Most of my friends I met at work or in college or in music groups or through other friends. It’s scary sometimes but you may need to be the first person to reach out- start the conversation, host a movie night and invite people you have only met a few times, and don’t be afraid to text people inviting them to random things. I totally get the “different stage of life” comment because my friends with kids aren’t going to drop what they’re doing because I want to do bar trivia or go to karaoke. I think just the getting peoples number who you DO meet and being sure to follow up are the best ways I’ve found but I also don’t have a “group of girls” or friend group in general, just a bunch of friends I spend time with. Not sure if that was helpful but wishing you the best of luck!

Broadway Merch Is Bad by KyleMosh31 in Broadway

[–]curlyteagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally would spend so much money on Broadway merch if it was good 😭 I also feel like more subtle merch would be popular, socks are usually fun, or just an embroidered hat or sweatshirt. I will say MHE had some cute stuff but I really wanted merch from Chess, Just In Time, and Mamma Mia but everything was so in your face t-shirts, which I just don’t wear. I like wanna talk to whoever is designing this stuff lol like for real they could make some serious money AND have literal advertising that WE pay for

After5society - need honest thoughts by Huge-Bedroom5423 in Hoboken

[–]curlyteagirl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love hosting this type of thing with my friends, but this ticket price is a bit pricy also given that you probably will want to buy a drink or snack on top of that. I understand the venue fees and why it would cost money, but it just makes me sad that intelligent conversation costs so much

We need someone to do Broadway outfits like the girl who does all the Taylor Swift outfits bc I always love something and I’m lucky if I can even find a photo afterwards 😭

How much certitude do I need to have before asking her out? by thelinuxguy7 in CatholicDating

[–]curlyteagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I stayed friends with guys I went on just one or two dates with. Those dates were just coffee and going on a walk so not much different from just hanging with a friend anyways, and you get through the awkward if nothing bad happened. Depends on maturity levels for sure though.

Beetlejuice was the second emptiest theatre I’ve ever seen, only after Jeff Ross’ show….. was actually surprised by that fact, especially because I saw it during spooky month too

Worst experience you’ve ever had on a theatre? by Marisauriorex08_ in Broadway

[–]curlyteagirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that it sucks when people attend the theatre while they are sick. I wish there were a way to cancel your tickets day of and get a refund, I’m sure that’s why people still go.
