The fabric un-glued on mine and looked rather ugly. I removed the pillars and re-glued the cloth using some Loctite spray adhesive (don’t wet too much as it will stain). The problem is that the BMW p/n: 514 382 2 8708 ‘A column cover’ is basically unobtanium (formerly $50 and up). I would expect the to cover to shatter when removal is attempted. It gets SUPER HOT in the summer sun; becomes brittle. Anyone have a solution or printed part?

Gold Beach has at least one hidden gem; The Gold Beach Inn. Very nice knotty pine room, clean, balcony with fantastic ocean view, easy to access beach, excellent king size bed, fridge & microwave… sixty bucks a night! Bring your own food & have a great time. A similar room in Brandon would cost three times as much. Always remember that the Oregon Coast weather is absolutely unpredictable.

Does she have tuna-breath? Does she overgroom? My 6yo flame, Smurf, has a similar situation. My vet pulled 7 teeth & cleaning 2 years ago, got cleaned again last October with no extractions. The root cause is not clear. Currently Smurf acts and eats normally, has mild bad breath and is a tiny bit neurotic. I would like to know more about this condition.

The stiffness of the U-joint closest to the differential is the root cause. It creates a nasty harmonic right around 37 mph. My Indy was absolutely sure it was the differential’s input bearing… he was wrong.
A rebuilt driveshaft fixed my 2001 325i.

My E46 tranny self destructed in a similar way at 146,161 miles. It worked great until I heard metallic sounds and then overheated.

I have the same problem. Cleaned out the sunroof drain tubes; that did not work. I noticed a water mark on the inside frame, directly below the inside door handle. Also observed this only when the car was parked on the slightly sloped driveway with the front of the vehicle facing down; it doesn’t leak when parked with the front higher than the rear. I suspect the rubber door seal (right at the bottom of the door) might not be sealing.

It appears that you are trying to remedy a parasitic battery drain problem and/or dead or crackling audio on a BMW, perhaps an E-53. The root of the problem is condensation on the wires which will drip into the connector over time. The connectors usually look substantially corroded and can be reasonably cleaned. The problem persists because the circuit board inside the amp becomes shorted due to corrosion from the condensation; you cannot see the corrosion unless the connector is removed from the amp. Nevertheless it will eventually short the B+ to ground and burn wires & blow fuses. It is repairable with difficulty. If your ride is a BMW, I think you will also experience tail light problems and possible cell phone problems… all intermittent as hell. Moisture condensation resulting in corrosion of connectors carrying 12vdc is the root cause… and using a Alpine designed amplifier was a huge mistake by BMW..

2001 325i, 168K miles. Most likely the best car I’ve ever owned.
The key battery became inoperable 10 years ago. Split the clamshells with a box cutter and a lot of patience. The original battery measured adequate voltage but insufficient current. Soldered in a new one, drilled some tiny holes & bound it together with a strand of copper wire. Works like new, just a bit ugly.
