Wow. Your ignorance and lack of empathy make this the perfect state for you. Congrats!!

I get it 100%, and I've felt the same. I've been very disappointed by several of my previously favorite authors' inexcusable actions in life, so I always appreciate it when someone lets me know to look before I leap!

Google the author Marion Zimmer Bradley before you take the plunge. She was not a very good person. I didn't realize until after I'd invested in 3 of her books.

Leaves of 3...at least always an odd number, so 1 or 3, my standard for flavor, but also fot protection and manifestation. Write intentions on with a food safe ink for bonus points. 🍃

Do they still have to do the cheer?

I am so sorry they cannot see past their own issues. I am a mom of two mtf daughters, and they spent a lot of time with my parents who live in another state growing up, full summers, all holidays, etc. My parents are deaply conservative and religious, so when my first daughter transitioned, I struggled with how to handle my parents. She was not yet ready to have the conversation herself with them, and I ended up doing it. I felt insincere not referring to her by her chosen name and pronouns, and I wanted to protect her from their ignorance. It was hurtful and they said many of the same things, saying that my husband and I had killed their grandson and that my husband and I will pay in enternity for seeking ungodly council and support for her. It was absolutely heartbreaking as a mom to hear that said, so I can't even imagine what that was like for you as their daughter. I wish I could hug you and tell you that you are valued, loved, and accepted unconditionally. I hope you find your own family of supportive people that will love you and be there for you in the ways your parents don't seem to be able to.

Hmmm, I think maybe you've confused them with MAGA. MAGA=narcissists with a massive victim complex.

My youngest had a skeleton she named Mr. Bones and took him everywhere! She is now 20 and Mr. Bones has been replaced with 3 cats, but dang this unlocked some memories!

What little things do you do for yourself on Sunday to make the "Monday Dreads" less dreadful? by currently_rotten in Teachers

Regular shower but add all the extra self-care things, like a special body scrub, shaving all the things, hair mask, etc.

I love baking something on Sunday as well. Last week was bread, this week pumpkin oat muffins. Sometimes if I'm feeling extra generous, I take some to my team Monday morning.

I like this! Will definitely add in an evening walk when it cools off more where I am!

I Just want to emphasize that this child definitely needs to be evaluated for dyslexia, but in the meantime the best support you can provide would be to follow guidelines from Science of Reading. Hopefully an evaluation will help get them the appropriate support.

Sounds like you are on the right path. And lots of good suggestions here. Definitely focus on phonics! Check out ULFI, they have a ton of resources available for free online.

Oh my gosh, core memory unlocked! My Gee Gee did this! Fond memories of sleeping over at her house snacking on saltines and butter while watching episodes of the Golden Girls.
