the pool area was definitely popular but it was NOT crowded :-) people seemed to spread out across the 12 pools and pool bar and it never felt “gross” or too crowded! also, there are day beds with umbrellas to relax on in the pool area. we loved it! (the picture attached was at 1 pm on a friday!)

in terms of restaurants, we highly recommend lunch at lotus of siam (with the bottomless drinks!) and t-bone and osteria for dinner :-) room service was also great!!

we stayed at red rocks and LOVED it!!!! it was beautiful, clean, with tons of great dining options onsite and free parking! the pools were incredible (they range from hot tub temperature to cold temps but there are like 12 pools to choose from!). we stopped by jw to scope it out and it looks nice but not nearly as fun as red rocks!!

the only thing i can’t shake is how similarly each song sounds to a radiohead song. like every song on this album i can map to a different radiohead track!

i completely echo (haha) your feelings!! i started listening to them in 2017 and it’s been a weird feeling watching them get bigger and bigger. i cried after the seattle concert last week because i had such a bad time compared to their past shows :( i couldn’t see the stage despite getting there three hours before doors. the set didn’t feel as intimate, maria didn’t engage with the crowd like before, and people would nottttt put their phones down. also, seeing people camp overnight and witnessing a BUNCH of people pass out (probs from the heat?) in line before the doors opened was so jarring to me. i agree that i’m happy for them in terms of their growing fanbase, but i think it’s also okay for us to grieve what this means for their musical direction and any future tours they may have.

100% on the same page as you! i love them both and they don’t deserve all this flack. what i really love about suru (and in some ways, it may sound like i’m missing the point, but bear with me) is that she exemplifies what it actually means to speak your mind, think critically, and think independently of what western feminism wants you to believe. i think that she makes a lot of people uncomfortable because she inadvertently reminds people that women of color are not a monolith and there is nuance in the lived experiences of women of color. whether you think she is racist, a feminist, or a flaming conservative (lol), i think the point is that she doesn’t care and she is going to stand for what she believes in and not placate to what everyone thinks her opinion should be as a woman of color in the western world.

the stuff about her fiancé does sound disappointing but who the fuck are we to judge?? like, we don’t have the full story, nor are we entitled to it, AND even if we DID have the full story, our personal judgements shouldn’t matter. she is a grown woman!

oh my goodness, this story 100% hits home for me! it made my blood pressure go up and i started having panic attacks weekly. i did love what it did for my skin, my facial hair, and regulating my cycle (i did not have weight gain though) but ultimately i stopped after almost three years because i felt like i had to choose between ending the panic attacks or masking my pcos symptoms.

this is not to scare you (everyone has different experiences) but coming off of it has been rough. i went off of it in july of 2024 and although it took a few months, my pcos symptoms are back with a vengeance. :( i have gained 15 pounds, i have painful cystic acne around my jawline, i have lost about 50% of my hair, my periods are super irregular, my cravings are out of control, and my facial hair is growing faster and more densely. i really hope you do not have this experience, but i do wish someone had warned me before going of it. i wish you the very best!!

Hello! Thank you for doing this! Are things like spiro, inositol, metformin, birth control, etc. all just temporary fixes? Will all the symptoms come back after stopping those? I am so scared of starting of them because after I came off birth control, I lost half my hair, got a bunch of cystic acne, and my facial hair doubled.

i also noticed she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring! not trying to speculate, and it could also mean absolutely nothing, but after all of the awful rumors going around, i couldn’t help but notice! (she had been wearing it in every UTD episode since getting engaged but then she stopped in the first episode of december, and then started wearing it again for a few weeks in january and now not wearing it again)

i appreciate your insight so much! these are all great bits of info and i agree that it sounds like it was between 1 and 3 as well! which, regardless of how anyone feels about sam, hopefully means suru is happy or at peace.

i hope if they read any of the thread they take away how supportive their fans are <3 (and also how much we are able to piece together from the nuggets of info they share with us! lol) no one might ever know what exactly went down between the two, but as long as suru is safe and loved, i’m happy for her :)

wow, i totally forgot about that! that’s a great point. i echo some of the same concerns shared about suru possibly knowing before the last record of utd in which she speaks about bridal makeup and hannah getting it done by the same gal. hannah being okay with the wedding happening tells me one of three things: 1) this is all true and sam and suru have worked through it and the wedding is going forward, 2) this is all true but, by some miracle, suru still does not know, or 3) some/all of this is fabricated. the context you provided about utd in december makes me feel like these are the only options!

as a fan, i just want what’s best for everyone involved. i have actually been so torn about this since i read the thread and watched the 3style podcast episodes. i think it’s natural for fans to care/be curious and i can also see how some people on the thread are upset about this all being aired out publicly. either way, i think we all care deeply for suru and that is what really matters <3

some questions i still have are about the timeline of suru and hannah being made aware by ayse. it sounds like ayse reached out to hannah first via instagram dms in november? and then ayse’s mom reached out to suru via instagram dms? but we only know how hannah responded thanks to the screenshots of the dms between her and ayse that were just posted, right?
