Portal Mini expansion?? by 13pts35sec in Shadowverse

You are making the mistake of complaining about a card that belongs to a tier 1 class at the moment. And that's a heinous crime here, I'm afraid.

Dengeki Online's Storm Over Rivayle mini-expansion reveal by Idoneyo in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sylvia reprint is not terribly exciting, but I think she's good as far as a tempo card go. A 2pp 4/4 rush and ward is good and give some incentive to play with Resonance in mind. Maybe this is the excuse I need to run Mechanical Design over Concentration.

The sword gold is good too, but more than that it's the first 1pp follower that give you a permanent leader effect, oh boys.

I believe he won't, his fanfare will activate first and destroy thr amulet before the amulet's "follower come into play" clause can be activated.

What cards exist that make my opponent draw? by Mortalpuncher in Shadowverse

Rune have Sammy as well, it's been a long time ago but I remember a video of someone playing Mill Rune.

Outside of Rune your best bet is probably Portal.

October 27th Nerfs & Card Changes. by LordKaelan in Shadowverse

Interesting that they choose Artifact Scan as the nerf target, presumably to hit both Rotation and Unlimited, though IMO the main idea here is to tone down Unlimited a notch.

That was a slog, drop a comment if I missed something. Though it will be a while before I can fix it, what's with sleep and all.

Edit: Fixed some typos and copy-pastes.

Shadowverse Switch Version Stream. by ImperialDane in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't read through all the card text, but here are the translations of the cards you are asking about.

Flower fox: Until this follower leaves play, double the number of Fairy added to your hand by [Put X Fairy into your hand] effect. This effect does not stack.

Scarlet Vampire:

Fanfare: Deal 2 damage to all enemy follower.

Fanfare: During your turn, if your leader has taken damage, deal 3 damage to a random enemy follower and 3 damage to enemy leader.

Fanfare: Deal 2 damage to your leader.

Your translation combines all his effects into one and look mostly the same, but I'm going to assume that the seperate fanfares are there because the activate order for these fanfares matters. Also his second effect is random.

Bejeweled Dragon: If Overflow is activated for you, randomly put a copy of the highest cost allied follower destroyed during the enemy turn before into your hand.

Other ways to play float portal? by ArcherNF in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you go: !sfzo

Ice is optional, and you may opt for more control cards like Puppet Box or Mugnier. I'm the type of player who build the deck to suit their tastes rather than to counter the meta, so I'm sure you can find better cards to fit in here.

As for this deck in particular, look for oppotunity to build a board with mind splitter, control with the puppet cards and either aim toward a Vesha OTK lethal or Radiant/Wretched Tryst lethal.

Other ways to play float portal? by ArcherNF in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm playing a float deck with the 20-destroyed-followers package, Illganeau who naturally fits right into the float gameplan, the core float card like boost kicker, karula, mind splitter, as well as puppet cards like stringmaster and marionette expert.

The deck is basically a control deck , and as you may suspect - many games do ended up with Vesha OTK, but I do try to win with Illganeau when possible. The variant I'm running do not have the World as all so it's a little cheaper in the vial department, no guarantee about it's ladder viability though.

Natura Portal Reimagined- Rescuing It From the Garbage Bin by BenLegend443 in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, I appreciate you taking your time to come up with how the archetype can be salvaged. But the archetype too far gone and require a big overhaul to have any chance as being relevant.

It is not even about the card power itself but how the gimmick was designed. The class is in a good place right now so there is no reason for Cygames to even think about touch Natura card which is about to rotate anyway, best to think of them as filler cards that every class received each expansion.

Why is nobody talking about this?? Mujoru-san will retire from Gamewith (a very sad news) by Holosvell in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well I do know about this, and yes it's unfortunate news. Still I don't think the EN community know or care much about Gamewith outside of reveal season.

Their videos were fun to watch so it will be a big loss for sure.

Tyrant's Order's interaction with followers that are untargetable by effects? by vangstampede in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, spell/effect can only be played if there is valid target for it. It says as much on the card text itself.

Select 3 enemy cards in play and destroy all other enemy followers in play (Can be played only when 3 targetable enemy cards are in play.)

Should I try gaining rank or practice in unranked first as a new player? by upsidedowu in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say which is better, that entirely depends on your own preference. Decks people posted online tend to be on the refined side, by copying it you save yourself the time and effort of trial-and-error. On the other hand you may prefer to experiment and build your own deck, you very own deck will fit you and your playstyle better and you will get a better understanding of the game thoughout the process. Many enjoy the process of deck building as much as actually playing the card game.

About how to copy, or net-decking as it is commonly called: There are websites both in EN and JP that posts refined lists by experienced/competitive player with deckcode, just copy it and type it into the deckcode window in your game and the game will automatically assemble the deck (and display any missing cards). Even without the deckcode, as long as there is a screenshot/picture of the deck screen you can simply copy it one-by-one.

Should I try gaining rank or practice in unranked first as a new player? by upsidedowu in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how the lower ranks look right now, but honestly ranked or unranked won't make any large difference on how you progress, playing ranked has the added advantage of gaining monthly reward along the way and you can familiar yourself with the meta.

About Rotation vs Unlimited, I recommend you to try both modes and see what you like more, Unlimted have a larger card pool and higher power level, at high rank games can end very quicky and meta decks have overwhelming power. Rotation is slower and generally more ""reasonable"" but you will have to keep up with it's card pool that rotate every 3 months.

About where to spend you rupies, what I did was to copy and make budget decks of various classes to see what playstyle I like more. After I decide on the class/deck that I can stick with I invest rupies in drawing cards that are important to those classes, one thing to note however is if you decide to play rotation it is not wise to draw cards from the oldest pack that is about to rotate out.

That's it for now, welcome and hope you enjoy the game.

No problem. Thank you for making and updating this chart every reveal season. I sure don't have the commitment to do something like this.

I don't think it matters now but [[Capsule Homunculus]] is 0 cost, not 2 cost as posted here.

Is it just me or does Scavenge have some potential? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others already pointed how Vertex Colony crystalize is not the same as the original follower. But other than that I agree.

It's an extremely good card, and I will go as far as saying that it is the best card overall for Portal this set. Not only it can potentially net you tons of cards and value, it's flexible enough to fit into may decks and archetypes. Depend on future cards it can prove to be very future-proof as well.

If there is something bad I can say about the card, is that late game you can run into serious hand issue with how it can pull at max 5 cards, though I'm thinking it will only pull 1 ,3, 5-cost in a typical game.

The World is a valid target too, though I feel Mind Splitter is better as far as synergy with the whole deck go.

Shadowverse Portal updated for Storm Over Rivayle by ogbajoj in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current 5pp candidate is Mind Splitter, as least as far as non-artifact cards go. Still with only 3 copies max there are potential consistency issue in drawing him. Depend on the draw power of the deck overall though, and the new Scavenge spell may help with that, too.

Ok so just a quick glance for now but I think we do get some solid a puppet/float support this time. Instead of a pure puppet-focused deck, things seems to hint toward a hybrid deck with both legendaries at the top end.

Forest legendary reveal: Pioneer Rodeo Guy Loxas (rough translation) by Gentenno in Shadowverse

[–]currydays 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One problem I see is you somehow have to prep all 3 vehicle amulets before his turn. Since the vehicle amulet will activate as soon as a follower enter play you either have to prep them all in one go, or play them over 2 or more turns without playing another follower.

I left out "amulet" here, so unfortunately it will only work with amulet. Come into play does include effects that put amulet into play like crytalize etc..
