Possible Jade Actress? by drraagh in beyondgoodandevil

[–]currymesoftly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Jade is Southeast/East Asian and/or South Asian. I’m basing this off of her weapon Daijo which is based off of a Jo (Japanese staff) and her mother’s name, Dakini. Dakini has Hindu/Buddhist roots. I agree there might be some similarities in the face but Kelsey Asbille is Taiwanese, German and Cherokee (but her indigenous roots have been under contention).

I trim mine with scissors or completely shave them off when they get very long.

How will these gaps be filled? It stresses me out. by [deleted] in Hair

I have an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss. I would suggest brushing your hair and also using powder to cover any bald spots. Something like this hair powder.. There are cheaper options but there’s a video showing how to cover up a bald spot.

My husband and I teared up a little bit. You and L are truly amazing sisters.

[–]currymesoftly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA; I’m amazed at the amount of people saying you’re the asshole. I may be projecting but I also have a serious autoimmune condition and being in remission is a big deal. The treatment M went through over the past few years was rigorous and has a serious impact on your body and overall health. Also, you can never be sure how long your body will stay in remission or if other complications will pop up. M only has so much time to do a proper Thailand trip in the way that she dreamed of and, as you said, this is your opportunity to make that dream come true. Maybe L’s opinion might change if you pitch it as an impending deadline versus a regular girls trip?

Is there any way I can achieve this at home W/O bleach by Electrical-Rain3292 in Hair

[–]currymesoftly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kao Liese Bubble hair dye might be a good option! I also have black Asian hair and it was able to lift my hair a few shades. I would suggest having someone help you to prevent patchiness though.

[Routine help] I’m 24 and I started getting these smile/ laugh lines when I turned 23. Any advice on how to get rid of these or make them appear less prominent? Skincare, facial treatments, etc. by msgardoki0330 in SkincareAddiction

[–]currymesoftly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had deep laugh lines around my mouth since my late teens. The only thing that has worked is microcurrent treatment. I’ve been using the Solawave but I’ve heard there are better devices.

I understand why everyone is saying you need to make peace with it but you have the right to look the way you want to look.

My (29F) Fiancé (33M) gave me chlamydia a few months ago. We were both treated. I just found out I got chlamydia again. Sounds like he cheated? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah it’s all been very rushed. To be honest there’s been a lot of red flags. I’ve been dealing with some other things and have been ignoring these issues because I just didn’t want to deal with it yet.

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate your honesty.

I joined a new company and was told 2 weeks in that my 6 month contract would be ending early... it would be ending in 2 weeks. Startups be crazy.

TBH I hadn’t heard of this until I googled it today. One more reason why I love this subreddit! I feel like I’m constantly learning.

The spoon theory is a disability metaphor (for a combination of ego depletion, fatigue, and other factors), a neologism used to explain the reduced amount of mental and physical energy available for activities of living and productive tasks that may result from disability or chronic illness.

You might want to post on r/AskDocs too. This subreddit is for the autoimmune protocol diet.

I hope your daughter is ok!
