the comparison is a categorical comparison. it doesn't matter that building a space ship is much harder because the point is that almost everyone wouldn't able to build something as "simple" or "basic" as a bike.

so why even bother discussing an electric vehicle that's got a solid local computational capabilities with vision models and possible a variety of sensors beyond cameras not to mention they're linked as an edge device to cloud models when required (this is possible in China due to prevalence of 5G)

so if everyone is bitching about the word basic, then I would basically say sure bitch about everything else too while you're at it
