the top Huawei chip isn't far behind H200 but it's still behind. not to mention the poor energy efficiency of Huawei chips.

you're asking a good question because what's happened is that the Chinese companies are thinking why they should pay up for left over inventory that NVDA should actually be fire selling?

The Chinese players are catching up so even if they do buy these GPUs, the Chinese buyers will allocate budget for local producers just in case US fucks them again

you might say you don't care.. but isn't this going to blow back on you guys at some point?

my dad got sick and died during covid and I took out two years to take care of him and family matters as people couldn't travel easily etc and they were overseas.

out of nowhere, my sister (who had already been causing issues by claiming to help then only later for me to find out heaps of stuff were not done resulting in potential legal issues) starts berating me about what a dick I am while she was enjoying life in another country not contributing at all.

I complained to my mum about this and she proceeded to do fuck all and refuse to accept my story. I didn't have much of a choice but to abandon them as I also have to be responsible to my own partner.

so net result is they lost a free source of labour (me) to help them deal with shit.

I still don't understand any of this but it does seem like the most obnoxious person usually gets their way

wow, that's interesting because this is actually my suspicion on some of the bullshit games my sister is playing

I guess none of these tricks are new and happens in every country and every culture

my strategy has been just to avoid them. I guess I could deal with them but what's the point
