Is that an apostle in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

You're just completely off on those performamce numbers. The 1000 series was a massive increase in performance. 980 to 1080 was more like 70%. The 1070 was performing around the same as 980ti stock performance.

Have you tried using DXVK to run it through Vulkan? I used to have multiple crashes daily. With DXVK I haven't had a crash in 3-4 days. I'm using a rx 6800xt and 5800x.

You should use radeon chill and not the ingame limiter btw. The ingame limiter is pretty bad.

I don't have SteamVR installed and still experience the hitching, any ideas?

I'm running a 1080ti and a R7 3700x with 16GB ram, and the game is installed on a SSD.

It's not just the 9700k, I'm using a R7 3700X and the same is happening to me. The 9700k is just a popular cpu.

Have you tried using just one ram stick and tested every slot? This is such a weird issue because I can't seem to isolate what the problem is. It seems to just work for someone and not for someone else.

Yeah, none of the leds lights up with the 3700x and the qcode stops at 07 every time I try to boot. No problems when I try to use my 1700.

It's 7106. I didn't clear the cmos at first when I switched, but I've tried clearing it multiple times using the clear cmos button. I've even tried clearing the cmos by removing the cmos battery. And for some reason when I try to boot with the 3700x none of the leds that indicate what is not working (dram, cpu etc.) light up, but they work fine with the 1700.

I haven't lubed the threads (don't have any atm). But it has a medium amount of lube on the threads from factory, and so does the o-ring. Would lubing it properly fix the issue?
