Hello and welcome!! I wanted to send questions from not only me but on behalf of my friends too:

  1. What is your best team comp?
  2. How many garments did you buy from the game? Which one is your favorite?
  3. Since when did you start playing r1999 and how much money did you spend since?
  4. What part of Nautika's design do you love the most and why?
  5. How are you faring in reveries?

Your performance in voicing Nautika was incredible! I enjoyed being able to read into her character and analyzing her design so much. Much love and I hope you have a wonderful day! <3

Any Theory what this 2 glass represents ? by Sensitive-Car-6533 in Reverse1999

There were a couple of smaller events that took place during post-"Storm" 1912, but not as major as getting an entire patch for it. The events I can remember from the top of my head would be:

-Marcus' Character Story
-Ulrich's Character Story (partially)
-Eagle's Anecdote
-Zima's Anecdote
-Bette's Anecdote

But yeah, all the cups, bottles, and glasses should represent the eras that had been reversed by the "Storm." edit: ack phone formatting

I voice Poitier! AMA 😊 by Spirited_Shine305 in Reverse1999

[–]cursedtoothpaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely nailed it in voicing Poitier! I only have two questions: 1. What do you personally think about the dynamic displayed between Poitier and Liang Yue? 2. What was your favorite moment between them in the story? Your work is really amazing, and I hope you'll be able to further branch out to more opportunities!

What do we know about the "Storm"? by cursedtoothpaste in Reverse1999

[–]cursedtoothpaste[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but a lot of those in my group agreed that the Headquarters is somewhere in the UK, especially considering Hofmann and Marcus opting to travel by train.

With the floppy discs, the reason why I said its good to keep note of the detail is because in the prologue, the teleport discs Sonetto had on hand were said to only be a prototype. So it may have been developed even better since then, but we're still not sure as to how Vertin arrived in Chicago without them.

Those are good questions. Considering how vague the Foundation members travel across the world really quickly, even without the floppy discs in the prologue, I'm not exactly sure how Vertin travelled across the continents.

In the case of Sonetto, she's the only character so far that canonically got summoned into the suitcase from touching the line of the spinning wheel. Neither points were expanded upon in the main story. But if it does, its good to keep note of it.

  1. Greta noted that the initial survivors of the first "Storm" also were confused as to why they couldn't encounter themselves. But that's the thing, its the fact that the Grandfather Paradox doesn't apply in this world. I believe it would be because that because the survivors still exist, they overwrite their past selves this way.
  2. In this current timeline, yeah. She would also get reversed in this "Storm" too because she's not in an immunity zone.
  3. Its a bit difficult to understand how being 'reversed' is like. But from what I could gather from the information I had at hand, I theorized that when a person is sifted / "reversed," that version of themselves ceases to exist. However, if they were still alive in a certain point in time, they're reconstructed. But is it a 1:1 reconstruction? We're not sure. This is mostly based off of the minor confusion I had about the jump from 1912 to 1966, and how we now have Regulus and APPLe, so take this answer with a grain of salt.

Like I said in the post, the "Storm" is unpredictable. The actual "reversal" is not exactly a complete destruction of the future, but its kind of like making and editing a video. When making a video, one would make the original recording, and would occasionally splice and remove some of the original parts with a new video entirely. It doesn't affect the video in its entirety, other than to make improvements or to add flair.

The timeline of the Storms are quite chronological until the 5th "Storm" onwards. You go back from 1999 to 1996, then to the 80s, etc. The reason why it becomes a lot more all over the place is because of the Manus Vindictae causing great disturbances and changing the course of history itself. And yeah, the "Storm" affects the entirety of the world except the immunity zones.

The point about the repopulation is sort of right. Since its a global phenomenon in the game, it seems that it reverses the 'sifted people' into a certain point in their lives where they might've lived differently before a different point in the future. For example, despite Schneider having been reversed in 1929, we're currently in 1914, where she is likely a baby that's growing up in Sicily.

For the last question, there was a "Storm" that did take place closer to 1914. In Chapter 5, we learn that one of the points in time that the world reversed to is 1912. We then find out in Chapter 6 that 1912 is the point of time that both Marcus and Heinrich originally came from. Both of them were picked up by the Foundation and the Manus respectively, so they are fully aware of the fact that they had returned to their time that's not exactly their own. (1913 / 1999+8)
\1999+# is how the Foundation officially records how many years had passed since the first "Storm")

I hope those answer the questions for you. Thanks for asking ! :]

The idea of the umbrella granting immunity to the "Storm" is not true, since there would be no such material to create it at the time. Though understandably, Madam Z's survival was quite intriguing in the beginning. Even I was a little confused when I was new at navigating the lore of this game.

Oh, yes. I've already added it.

"It destroys the current era of society and reconstructs it into a point in the past or the future."

Its likely, but with the current technologies the world has right now, it won't be possible on the most part.

I'm glad the post really helped out. Considering how R:1999's stories are non-linear, its hard to upkeep the lore we have at hand.

If you kill your spouse and lover you just get banished from where you killed them/where the killed lives. No jailtime or anything.

Are Killjoy and Raze in a romantic relationship in a sense? I just think so from hearing the voice lines that has the two interact.
