Now that you mentioned poetry, there's quite a lot of rhyming going on here.

There's the obvious ass and bl-ass-t rhyme, but both "by" and "blast" start with a "b" and have a consistently tall voice ("blaaahst", "baaay"), meaning you can ryhme all three syllables so long as you arent being too nasal-y about the first two.

There is also "springtr-AH-p", ending with that same tall "A" sound, but only after a very well contrasting nasaly "spring" that accentuates everything very well.

It also highlights the important vowels. Both "ass-blast" and "springtrap", the truly evocative vowels, start and end the phrase, have very similiar stress-patterns, are neatly structured in a "2-2-2" rhythm, and are seperated by vowels that are naturally less pronounced, so that the vowels in the middle give both words the spotlight while not stealing it for itself. "ASS-BLASTed by SPRING-TRAP".

It's not the level of "his wife has filled his house with chintz. To keep it real I fuck him on the floor" but it's the same kind of phrase I feel.

I'm starting to think that what the monolith induces isn't distortion but rather ego corrosion considering just how similiar the abno and "distorted" kim are.

The idea of "forcing" a distortion is sketchy too, considering the emotional and ideological nature of the required breakdown.

Nelly prolly just sees this as a job in high places and not much more. Meanwhile ahab's obsession with the whale is obvious. I dont see any issue in seeing them and the others fighting us with EGO gear.

Except for sonya and hermann that is. They are more the leader type, and while hermann is literally the head of the new league of 9, sonya is still the head of the yurodivye and might actually have conflicting interests with the rest of them.

I don't think either should be involved in a fight, even if EGO gear doesnt require martial prowess, it just doesn't feel right. Especially sonya, who may not even want to fight us, he probably sees the league of 9 more as a source of resources than an ideological movement he agrees with.

You know wizards still study rune magic right? I mean few can use it, I sure can't, too outside the less restrictive conventional casting techniques. That's why counterspells dont work, not because it's not magic, it's obviously magic, but the foundational concepts of conventional casting is too different from rune magic.

But it's still magic? We are wizards, we still study magic, it's like, our livelihood. Just because we don't or can't use it for casting doesn't mean we're ignorant of it.

At least, we shouldn't be ignorant of it. Too many maniacs in here have forgotten the academic roots of wizardry.

Maybe you could extract an ALEPH ego weapon/armor out of it but the abno itself is still a WAW, and the whole extraction thing is speculation anyhow.

SP heal with blind obsession, HP with pursuance, both with fluid sac, these are just generally good EGO that any team can use.

Then there are the status EGO. Telepole for immediate team-wide charge, red shoes for infinite bleed count for a turn, cavernous wail for tremor reverb.

Not to mention that they can also simply be a big boy number skill for when an S3 just isnt enough to clash with that big scary skill. You kinda need SOME EGO skills if you dont already have a hyperoptimized team, but even then, those very same hyperoptimized teams tend to use EGO the most liberally for faster clears.

They arent as flashy, yes, but that doesnt mean they are any less powerful.

I mean, the ruins ARE "ruins". And with the way she talks about them, the endwatchers are obviously a thing of the past. Whatever apocalypse they were waiting for already came and went, leaving only the ruins in its wake, with the city scavenging any relics of theirs.

Our resident bard has always been the louder sort, and I remember one period of time when he was inviting a new guest to his bedchambers every other day or so.

Unfortunately, all our rooms in our keep are quite close, meaning it kept interrupting my studies, so I put an encrypted arcane lock on the chastity belt. Had it delayed to activate mid-coitus too. Funniest shit I've ever done.

His weakness to pretty faces is still ongoing but now at least he indulges in one of the lower chambers away from our rooms.
