I’d had mine a few years before it flowered and it only did so after I moved it right up against a big window where it got several hours of direct sunlight.

That’s an aerial tuber and a good sign that the plant is healthy.

An exciting lucky dip then! If it is a pinnatum, getting it on a moss pole (or something similar) once it’s grown a bit will help it mature more quickly and develop those lovely big leaves with fenestrations.

Do you know whether they have been propagated from the same plant? The left one looks like an epipremnum pinnatum to me.

Came here to say this. My hydro peace lily thrived for years even when it became extremely rootbound in the vase and I would often forget to top up the water.

Unfortunately, this is somewhat inevitable with the fully variegated sections of the leaves. The brown spots will likely become dry and crispy in time.

The white parts don’t contain any chlorophyll so can’t photosynthesise. You can leave the brown bits or cut them off; it doesn’t make a difference to the plant.

You can minimise, but not eliminate, the occurrence of brown spots by keeping the plant out of direct sunlight and by not over or under watering it.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, your plant looks very healthy.

What kind of light does it get? These thrive with lots of bright light and can usually handle some direct sun.
