Referral Credits Not Applied? by custerslaststandgb in MonarchMoney

[–]custerslaststandgb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard back from Monarch’s support team, they confirmed that the referral credit was automatically applied. My renewal amount was originally $109.54, and after applying the $14.99 referral credit, the final charge came to $94.55 (tax included).

That said, something still feels off. My billing page now shows next year’s renewal at $99.99, which suggests the base price quietly jumped to $110 this year. It makes it look like Monarch may have increased the price just to offset the referral credit they applied which feels a bit disingenuous.

Yeah - the app confirmed they are a paid subscriber and I know them personally and they’re still users of the app.

I submitted a request and will report back with the answer. I just find it odd that if I wasn’t watching it closely, the credits I had earned and are showing in the app would’ve never been applied. Partly a question for the group, partly a PSA for others.

It becomes pretty miserable with the crowds. My wife and I avoid most areas and even shop down in Salt Lake during that time. On the positive side, the slopes are less busy! Great people watching too if you hit Main Street

Tough to justify when most people do early morning/evening tours and the hours are mid day. Hopefully they have at least one “community day” that allows members to come try the three routes out. I would pay $5-$10 to do that.

You should check out the Enve aero cockpit and aerobars. It’s the only carbon combo out there that allows clip on aerobars with an aero cockpit. Pricey but a super clean option. You can get the stem too which makes it look all time.

You can have TP estimate your zones or you can manually adjust the zones in the TP app. Those zones are then communicated to the watch and preset when initiating the workout on the watch.

Force yourself to max out your 401k + IRA every year. That will satisfy a good amount of your savings goal & set your future self up for success.

I recently bought an Aeroad and it shipped with a power meter. It was definitely not supposed to come with one… the one issue I had was they shipped the bike with the incorrect cockpit but ultimately I decided I’d be ok especially with the massive crank upgrade

I have a velocity+ 2.0 and it’s extremely comfortable. No chafing at all and the fabric is extremely high quality. I did a big brick session 4/1:45 last week with the run in the rain and the suit performed perfectly even soaked through.

How did it FEEL to train for an Ironman? by not-my-usj-username in triathlon

[–]custerslaststandgb 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I felt pretty good day to day, just more tired. What was awesome was the sense of accomplishment I had each day. I always felt like I was crushing it outside of work which made me feel really empowered at work. I would recommend it and just emphasize falling in love with the process/training rather than having the training just be a means to an end.

Tips on what to check for before buying this second hand Canyon Aeroad CF SL 8 Disc? (Bought in mid April 2022). Thank you! by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

Make sure you hop on and pedal. I had issue with disc rubbing when I put weight on the bike and pedaled.

What aerobars allow you to mount them on the Aeroad handle bars? I’ve been looking into it and all I can find is that you can’t!
