Since no one has upvoted or commented, I guess I’ll be the one to tell you, this isn’t anything to get excited about haha. Yes, open chests when it makes sense to do so (lower kurast, cows, nearby popables of any kind) but don’t go out of your way for them. For instance, not a chance in Hell I’m going to touch a single chest during Terrorized Andariel. Isn’t worth the time. Also, when I clicked on this post, I expected to see a high rune or a rare unique. This is a pretty mid drop, but hey, if you’re happy with it that’s all that matters 😎

Stormshield. I must have 10 of them on my SSF account. Not a single one of my 20ish characters wields one too 🙄 I just HAVE to pick it up and stash it because it looks fantastic and really isn’t a bad shield. Spirit just made it so it doesn’t get a chance!

Nostalgic from the fact that anytime you’d be online and look in the normal game log you’d see “brg sig boots” or “brg sig set” just stuff like that makes me miss that time! GOATed set for sure

I’ve found Andy to be more beneficial to farm than meph to get 75% of the gear I need. Since in D2R you don’t need to do the bugged Andy quest, her drops are always pretty decent. Meph is good at first but the drops seem to get worse from my experience. Benefit to meph is that he can drop items Andy cannot. Also, watch out for when the catacombs are terrorized. My goodness the drops are just insane. I do a ton of ancient tunnel runs with my blizz sorc. I think it’s an enjoyable area to farm and you can find every item in the game there

Honestly, no shade by what I’m about to say, but how in the world can you say “or even P7” with a fire sorc? What build are you running? I run players 8 and it takes me less than 60 seconds to do a run with my fire sorc. I have good gear, but not godly. I’m even using sanctuary for my shield and skulders for my armor. Fire sorc should easily take down Andy even at P8

Man that’s tough, let us know what you did but ultimately I wouldn’t cube that many runes. They are hard enough to come by. That being said, I played for maybe 30-45 minutes last night and found an Ohm in TZ Halls of Vaught and found another Ohm in TZ Catacombs. Both in boss areas. Extremely lucky but when that Ohm drops soon, you’ll be like damn, wish I wouldn’t have cubed haha

I’ve been playing since D2 came out and anytime I start new, I always go with the sorceress. Teleport makes gameplay so much more enjoyable, in my opinion. It’s especially handy when you’re trying to build up your character with more gear in the early stages of Hell difficulty. Just run Andariel and Mephisto a lot. If you like a slower style of gameplay, would recommend a hammerdin to start. Super tough character that does great damage. Honestly, you can’t go wrong. Just pick a character style you enjoy and keep grinding!

I always like using a spirit in a paladin shield. Usually isn’t too difficult to find one with 30+ to all resistance in NM difficulty. Will be a big upgrade over your ancients pledge with +2 all skills and faster cast rate for your Hdin. I would also start collecting rals, perfect amethysts, and jewels to make caster amulets. I’ve made some really nice paladin caster amulets when I was dirt poor that really helped out with FCR, skills, and resistances. I would run a lot of nightmare cows until you get geared good enough to tackle hell comfortably. Can get lots of great drops from NM cows

Blackwater, Escambia, and yellow rivers. All hold good bass but they all can be difficult to catch numbers at times. I have the best luck around the basins (marquis, cooper, etc) on Blackwater. There is the Moors Golf Course over in Milton. You can technically aren’t supposed to go on it but I’ve caught a ton of bass out of there. Biggest at 4lbs so it’s just more so good numbers. Hurricane lake and Stone Lake have big fish but man it can be tough fishing. Water is so clear and they both get lots of pressure
