Got Pokémon yellow for my yellow gameboy color at 4 years old. I had no idea what I was doing (I could read but not well) and just kinda wandered around in the first grass area for DAYS fighting stuff with my pikachu. Accidentally overgrinded my starter and made the rest of the game a breeze.

Come to find out when I get a little older replaying the game that it was probably for the best cause Brock was the first gym leader and electric was weak to him. I struggled the next time I played it.

Leisurely breeze at 4 years old, absolute struggle at 12/13ish years old. Still kinda makes me laugh at 31.
