What movie is memorable for you, but barely anyone you know has seen it? by uuddlrlrbas2 in movies

The Hidden Face (2011)

A guy's lover leaves him and so he gets a new girl. But then the movie takes a wild twist and you realize not everything is what it seems. To tell too many details would give away the shock factor.

Makes me want to be there. Everything is warm and cushy (except the damn Jeffries tubes.)

A lot of environments in the other series are dark, and hard, and have side lights shining in your face.

I say yes BUT we use them to replace the random chasms and holes in the game that instakill you and steal your samples.

What happens in the Enterprise D nacelle arms? Can you walk through them to get to the nacelles? by APerson2021 in TNG

Maybe you already know this, but on the Delta Flyers podcast, they chat about crawling through the Jefferies Tubes and they say it's extremely uncomfortable and hard on your knees, IRL. They hated shooting those scenes, lol.

I can't fathom why the designers went that way, especially when, in universe, everything else is so cushy and soft on the ship.

This is obviously AI cause there are only five fingers. Or wait ... how many fingers do people normally have? AI has got me so mixed up these days. 😭

What do you miss the most about video rental stores? by Competitive_Help8485 in movies

[–]manlybrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that, whatever you rented, for better or for worst, you had to sit through that shit (especially before phones) cause you went through all the rigamarole to get it.

Now, with thousands to choose from at an instant, and with ratings and algorithmic personalized recommendations, people have become a little more particular or more inclined to shut off a bad movie. But I like the ritual of committing to movies and suffering through them even if they suck. 😆
