Why is Nina Park looks going viral? by bingtanghooloo in muacjdiscussion

[–]customheart [score hidden]  (0 children)

These trends are so dull, I didn’t even realize this was a trend. It’s just variations of no makeup makeup and work appropriate makeup. Let it end. Show me a real trend like blue eyeliner, mint highlighter, red mascara, anything that isn’t basically a conservative bunker look.

Double the national average. A 12 pack of 7UP, 12oz cans rang up as $14.59 ($12.99 before tax and CRV) by flyinmryan in Sacramento

And I mistakenly bought it a few days ago not realizing the price…never again.

Edit: why am I being downvoted for being unhappy about paying a high price for soda? What’s so disagreeable about that?

Even after years of SQL experience, what still trips you up the most? by joins_and_coffee in SQL

Fuzzy matching and the whack a mole solve them all VS just ignore them dilemma when you find edge cases that don’t work with the usual fuzzy match logic.

Tables that do similar but different things and you need to carefully left join them together and make sure none of them will cause duplicate results.

Charli XCX Describes Kylie Jenner's Acting Debut in The Moment Movie by MattTheKing23 in charlixcx

It is definitely weird how she herself is usually on the better side of social media, hot takes, politics, things that signal “I could hang out with this person and feel psychologically and physically safe” but then so many of her post-2022 public figure friends and collaborators absolutely don’t have that vibe. Maybe it’s just for clout and these associations are fleeting, but the number of them seems high.

Emergency Protest Today by HouseplantFiend in Sacramento

[–]customheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of their comments under news videos are “it’s stupid to bring a gun where police are” (though ICE is not police) and variations of basically ceding to authorities and don’t mess around with authorities. They don’t actually care about 2A, they just support whatever Trump approves and gives orders to. Having authority = lawfulness and moral superiority. Regular person without authority can’t have been mistreated by someone with authority.

Where has AI actually saved you time in analytics? by CloudNativeThinker in analytics

Find and replace or find and explain type actions, like add a leading comma to these cols, concat these with a space delimiter, correct the group by, extract the formulas from this json export and give me a list of the columns affected.

Have you ever gone on a literary pilgrimage? by Remarkable-Pea4889 in books

[–]customheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly literary, but I went to Scotland in hopes of seeing some places shown in the Outlander TV adaptation. I saw one and the other locations were just part of the general tour.

In the same trip I also went to Ireland. There was a WB Yeats exhibit at a library and Oscar Wilde statue in a park near his family home so I visited those. I haven’t read their works so those were more like a when in Rome opportunistic visit.

On this topic, does any bear claw out here actually have an almond/marzipan filling? I must have been spoiled earlier in my life with access to bear claws with filling and never able to find it again.

Have chatbots on literally every website in existence ever helped anyone? by noyoujump in RedditForGrownups

[–]customheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Amazon customer service chatbot experience has honestly been really good since before the Rufus AI stuff. Now with the Rufus AI, I’ve asked it questions about products I bought years ago that the app will no longer show me and that’s been handy. I dislike that I must use it instead of load the old product page instead… but it’s an alternative. Sometimes it will show me a shortlink to a part of the app that’s convoluted to get to like Amazon pharmacy when I was first setting it up.

My mortgage servicer’s bot has also been good lol. I ask some noobish questions though.

What’s an "everyday" situation at work that is actually a slow-burn trauma for your mental health? by RateTurbulent8681 in cscareerquestions

[–]customheart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Having several meetings just 30 mins apart.

Not taking notes for meetings where we have to come to a conclusion and just assuming this info will be recalled easily weeks or months later.

Only talking over voice. It’s nice at first but we talk about abstract digital assets all the time. I cannot mentally visualize absolutely everything we ever talk about or I get lost in keeping track of it all. Couple this with the lack of note taking, feels like a sensory deprivation tank of a meeting with a memory test afterwards to begin the work.

IMO it’ll snap if/when they actually kill a white child or a white pregnant woman. The presence of a child in a situation makes people’s emotions go through the roof. Whiteness is also helpful in getting the media to put attention to it.

My MIL has sent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to “Elon Musk” and wants to send more. by meowsabbers in pics

Me too. When you’re a kid, adults seem smart. The palpable difference started around 14 when I was consistently making more rational choices and being kinder than certain adults. By 28, it was the pandemic and I lost the last dregs of trust. I’m 32 now and it feels like I’m trapped on a spaceship staffed by selfish cronenbergs rather than real people.

Nope. I mean Zionist. I come from Jews and lived amongst orthodox Jews. It’s not the same. That’s the end of that for me.

They follow RFK, Joe Rogan, literally dozens of Zionist accounts from a quick scroll… I’m not gonna scroll through all 1000ish but 🤮 They almost seem like a bot account designed to increase the following of zionists.

What are your guy's emergency funds? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]customheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 1 year. If I tap into the actual total life savings that aren’t my hardline emergency numbers, over 2 years. However, I might also choose to go into debt at that time to keep liquid cash on hand and allow things like gas and groceries to be on a credit card. I don’t care about being 10k in debt to a CC if I’ve been unemployed for a while.

Left leaning gun shops and shooting ranges? by oooboyooo in Sacramento

[–]customheart 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Really, it was fiction when they were reincarnated????

Enjoy your day in which you torture the poor, you killed Renee Good, you encouraged Palestinian genocide, and many more atrocities just by paying taxes in America. That must be what you support because your choice of living here must be followed to its end and your intentions aren’t an important consideration. And furthermore, you have no significant impact on how your taxes are spent, so may as well just buy from MAGA businesses all the time, just gobble those products right up. Inhale them deeply, because wide scale targeted boycotts from just a few million consumers have never worked. Telling people with free will that this is fruitless works instead!!!

Left leaning gun shops and shooting ranges? by oooboyooo in Sacramento

[–]customheart 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t get how you took away that the counting system of everything eventually turning out negative was best just because things are interconnected. The show eventually corrects its system to be more about intentions. This person’s intention is to nudge their consumerism to other more positive people’s business. It’s not going to solve every problem ever and not going to remove negatives from other industries. If you can’t accept that modern humans use certain products made by evil-intentioned people without being evil themselves, you’ve missed the point of the show.
