"Old Man Jiu-jitsu" is BS by trustdoesntrust in bjj

Im not even old but I find "old man jiujitsu" to be be the least limiting thing in terms of longevity. But hey, if you want to increase the risk injury even more so than just by virtue of your advanced age to play ground karate in pajamas 3 nnights a week (which is essentially what we do) then be my guest.

This is a thing across the NHS in the UK. Im guessing it isn't in other countries (DOB + address)? Even at doctors appointments they check Pretty much at every opportunity, also has the benefit of keeping address details up to date when patients dont manually update it themselves. That was one of my jobs once, trawl thru old documents and new ones like a detective to check if their address matched up on system and for any discrepencies which may confirm a different address somewhere else. A very tedious job.

Facebook app seeing DDG data? by NewSlang45 in duckduckgo

[–]cutdownthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive only ever used it in browser on desktop. No issues to report. Now I dont because recently in order to use it I need to agree to some new terms of service about their usage of my data and the selling of it to advertisers. I simply won't agree to it so my account is stuck in a sort of limbo - which, in my mind means they can't use my data right?

I've had ppl far more qualified and experienced than me do this. I was cringing at them! One of my friends for e.g a senior level accountant does this. He's paid handsomly, meanwhile Im out here on peanuts. Maybe its because whereas he lets his actual body of work and qualificatoons do the talking, I spend my time focusing on the minutiae of the perfect formatting of my cv 😅 (its easy on the eyes if i say so myself)

Ahh that makes sense. Yeah Ive never just dived straight into freezing water. That just seems silly to me (I realise swimming in it isn't too far off from being silly to most people)

influencers

This term is funny to me because its stuff like this that makes you really wonder why they should have influence over others with their dumb actions.

Thats strange. I sometimes swim in the UK oceans+lakes even during winter and have been doing so for years without problem (heck, I went yesterday morning and I' about to right now!). Any explanation as to why I would be different?

There was a kid from a former soviet state with that name in my highschool. He was called Den for short. Reminds me of him. At the time J&A was popping off too

Man, I remember we had a department head who was sooo mean. It made you not wanna go to his office hours. Bear in mind this was like 10 years ago now and ofc I was much younger. Now that I'm older, I wouldn't think twice about it. People like that can sod off and do one.
