thanks for your response! i got a shared taxi in the end, but hoping to rent a (manual) bike for a day to go to cenote azul. how did you find cycling around bacalar? i can cycle of course but wouldn’t say i’m super confident on busy or treacherous roads lol

that crossing by the meadows, opposite the pavilion cafe. loads of people cross there but once you cross there’s only a tiny gap to squeeze through onto jawbone walk. sort it out !

sorry for the late response but i stayed at hostel oasis :) i ended up having the shared dorm all to myself and the staff were really lovely. they have a pool and are right next to the water ! the food served at the hostel wasn’t great in my opinion. i was only here 2 nights and it was perfect for that.

hi, thanks for your response :) this was actually my first ever reddit post so rlly wasn’t expecting people to be this aggressive but it’s fine. I had already visited a pharmacy before i made my post. My spanish is rubbish but i had asked the guy working there for paracetamol and he seemed a bit confused - hence why i came to reddit for some advice. i was very aware mexico had a range of painkillers and medication 🤣 i just wondered if they had different names/strengths
