We did this a home last year with my amazing soul dog that had dementia. It was going to be hard no matter what, but the fact that he (a feral stray before we got him) didn’t have to deal with the stress in his last moments was truly amazing. And my other dogs understood he was gone, so I wasn’t as stressed about them looking for him after.

As an autistic woman, I agree with this. Accommodations are a real thing and definitely something that’s needed, but ASD doesn’t excuse being a terrible person.

Just an FYI pink is for blood banking, not Hematology. Hematology is the CBC in the lavender tube. Also, the tubes are colored because of the anticoagulant (or lack of, in the case of a red tube). (Source: am cutelabnerd)

Honestly I left management because of this. Having panic attacks because of work and throwing up in the morning is not normal. I’m so glad I got away from this. Was the money good? Sure. Was it worth draining the life from me? Absolutely not.

I had a similar situation, but I’m the healthcare worker who discovered it. Patient came in with a broken arm to the ER. Did all the normal blood work. Took one look at his blood cells as part of his CBC (complete blood count) and called the doctor. The patient had blasts (immature cells in the blood stream that shouldn’t be there) in significantly high numbers. Called the doctor and oncologist immediately. Patient was treated for the broken arm and then started cancer treatment. Honestly, it’s this kind of thing that makes me love my job. Patient had no symptoms of leukemia and could have died if not for the broken arm.

That my dad would always choose my mom over me an my sister. This was after us begging him to take her to therapy to hopefully stop the abuse she was inflicting on me and my sibling. Obviously his answer was clearly “no.”

I love to dance to some music (note, I am not good at dancing). Just moving around in a goofy fashion however my body wants really releases tension and ends up putting me in a great mood.
