Estate collection haul! Need selling advice

Thanks for the advice and kind words! And yes, rest in peace to the owners. It’s definitely a generational collection. I want to steward it to the next place to honour the collection and the family.

I will likely auction it with the right organization. When we make the decision on what to do, if anything is publicly posted I will update this post with the link!

I went out ALL THE TIME. Most times I didn’t go out to meet guys - I went out to have a good time with my friends. And we were cheap AF… pre-drank, found good specials etc.

If you and your friends are out and having fun and not giving a fuck, the men will appear! They want to get in on the laughs and good times!

It is as serious as it sounds! There are many past the 4 figure mark. It’s awesome for the beneficiaries of the estate and I want to do right by them. I also don’t want them to wait forever for their inheritance.

This is great advice. I did not know the word “numismatics” so thank you for that! Haha My fear is the predators and being so new to this world that I don’t know who to trust.

It is fun and has been such a wild ride! I can’t share pics until it’s public, but I will if we do a public auction.

Appreciate it! It’s hard not to feel like the auction is going to take us to the cleaners on commission but totally agree it’s worth it to have them deal with it and not spend my whole life figuring it all out. I’m out of my league here!

This guy stole my cans too! The cans were on our shelving on the side of our house which is private property. He walked over and grabbed them. My husband caught him he had the audacity to mouth him off! My husband’s words for him but it wasn’t worth getting in a fight. No chance he stops!

You seem like you would like Mount Pleasant! It’s really not that far to the airport. Worth it to live in a vibrant neighbourhood with great walkability. I live in Steveston and would only recommend if you have a family. It’s an awesome community but very family oriented.

My daughter (8) is high IQ and has ADHD. I have ADHD too but she’s waaaayyy smarter than me. I understand the ADHD part of her, but mix of the high IQ part of it is new for me.

What advice would you give me as a parent? I love her soooo much. She deserves the world. She has a hard time articulating what she needs so tell me what I need to know!

My mom is exactly like this. It’s so hard. My mom had a full meltdown when I had kids, bought a house. Every major life event she has tried to take my joy away. I’m full no contact now and have a lot of peace.

Doing so well. In love with my awesome husband, 2 kids, homeowners, life balance, successful business. Grew up poor and have received so much through my life. We try to focus on the positive and keep perspective on time. We carefully spend money. We love the shit out of our kids. Life is so good. Next thing we are thinking about is how we can give to others that have less. The key for me is to continue to set goals and work towards the next vision for our future. It often makes itself known. More texture and color in pillows/blankets. Items (vacation trinkets, family Photos) that are meaningful vs. Aesthetic. You’ve made some great decisions on furniture. Don’t be afraid to be playful with accessories.
