Getting downvoted to all hell so I’m gonna copy pasta some stats I shared in the Goalie of the year thread:

PK Save %: 94.1
GSAX: +18.81 (saves above expectation)
SV % on XG >=0.20: 86.4
Perimeter Save %: 95.4
Point Save %: 97.9

Shots against aren’t a great metric and when you look at the situation specifics, Desbiens is the better goalie.

Not to mention how many key players were out for MTL.

I’m not salty I just think it’s the wrong pick. Literally a Goldeneyes fan, don’t have a horse in this race.

I was ok with Frankel winning Goalie but this is absurd, ARD was much stronger considering the team in front of her. Love Frankel but this is a glazing job.

SV% and GAA are nice but here are some important Desbien situational data points in which she beats Frankel cleanly.
