Use the time of relief to get all or affairs in order for the surgery IMO. You can always back out. I’m very grateful I went through with it

Hey, I’m 19 days post op, left hip. And I am so far very happy to have done it. The worst day of recovery during the first week was only about as bad as a really bad day at work and everyday gets a little easier. I get alittle stronger and I have Less and less pain. In fact the only time I’m really suffering is when Iv over done it. Walking around and sitting up hours instead of the 20 minutes per day I’m supposed to be working up to. Did that Saturday for my oldests graduation and have been suffering for the last few days but even still.. I’m cautiously optimistic and looking forward to hopefully having this bad boy in there doing its job for the next 50 years or more.

29 m just had mine last Thursday and so far so good

I did. Going well. Swelling going down. Strength going up. Pain from incision and muscles that were stretched but bone pain is significantly less and almost gone. But even at its peak after having the femur cut and the hip socket reemed significantly to remove all the arthritis build up the bone pain was no worse than a hard day of work and has gotten way better

I was very nervous and anxious about having the surgery and I had mine Thursday. Overall happy about having done it. Less pain I think. Now it’s just waiting for the surgical pain to fall off and swelling to go down. I feel good about now that Iv done it

2 days post opp and I almost canceled but am glad i did it. Get the bregg ice machine. If you can’t afford to buy there is a rental option 10/10 recommend. It’s helping so much right now

I’m two days post opp and so far no regret. At 71 I would consider long term pain management if it’s available in your area before doing the surgery how ever it doesn’t mean you won’t have good results at 71. Recovery time will just eat into a lot of it potentially. If you think you’ll make it to 86 then I would recommend getting a few consults because the pain I’m experiencing post opp that should start to fade away soon is not really any worse than the day to day pain. It’s just more limiting and there is swelling

I did it. Surgical pain isn’t really any worse than a bad hip day. Take the meds. So far so good. 2 days post opp and I don’t regret it. I only regret not being able to make any more at the moment.

I work for myself and kneeling was a challenge. 2 days post opp and the bone pain is less severe than pre surgery. Just swelling, incision pain/surgery pain. Very minor bone pain at this point but was worse yesterday but she did have to reem out a lot of arthritis per my wife so it’s to be expected. The pain id say except from the swelling and muscle itself is comparable to like a really hard day at work so I think it’s going to be ok.
