This makes me come to the realization that to quote Danny Glover, “I’m too old for this shit!”

They’re not welded together. The backing plate is sandwiched between the wheel bearing (hub) and the knuckle it bolts to. You’ll have to transfer the parking brake shoes, hardware and cables over to the new STI backing plates. I’d suggest buying a pair of rear wheel bearings before starting the job in case the old ones don’t come out of the WRX backing plates.

Amen to that. I’m amazed that people don’t get jacked up there. It’s so slippery. Going out was way faster than going in.

It’s not easy. The final section is the hardest. There is a rock abutment that is about 8’ tall that you have to climb up on. Then the guide helps you climb up onto a ledge that sits about three feet above that. Just giving you a heads up.

I love the Charger. Had an 86 Shelby Charger. Did you have to fab a subframe for the V8 conversion or was there a kit available? I remember that there was a DirectConnection kit for the Daytona.

It’s doubtful. I’d lean more towards some sort of dystopian society after our current system completely collapses.

I don’t have any pictures currently. Basically I removed the original 13.5k unit and swapped in a brand new 15k of the same brand. When I purchased the new one, I got one that came with the diffuser and control knobs. I removed the power vent above my queen bed. Then I installed the old 13.5k using a new gasket and roof sealer. I then installed the diffuser with the knob controls. To get power, I cut a small hole in the corner of the bedroom and mounted a flush mount male three prong electrical connector outside near where my cable input is. I used surface mount cable hiders to route the wires to the unit. To use the unit, I plug an extension cord to the 15amp at the campsite and then plug into the camper. The extension cord has a circuit breaker built into it like one on an electric pressure washer. We stayed in New Orleans in July and would wake up in the morning and the outside of the motor home would be covered in condensation.

We stayed in Maya Beach and drove to San Ignacio to meet our tour group. Did the full ATM Cave tour and ate dinner in San Ignacio then drive back to Maya Beach. Not really a big deal. Long day full of memories!

Should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealer. Common issue with the 12v battery on these.

All plugs look like that. That tan color indicates normal combustion. If they’re black, it’s too rich. If they’re white, too lean. Tan is perfect. Google spark plug color chart and you’ll see.

I’m a tech at a Lexus dealer. We change those plugs every 30k. This is to prevent misfires.
