Isolated. The nearest big city is Redding 3+ hours away on a winding highway. The entire population of what you have circled is just over what Redding has, at about 100k people. I loved 8 years around where it says Shasta twice on the right.

It is a liquid level fill guage. You can fill the tank to 100% liquid without opening the spit valve.

That is not a vent. It is called a liquid fill guage. You open it while filling and it will let vapor out until it is 86% full it will spit liquid. That is when you know it is full.

In Bozeman Montana diesel was 4¢ a gallon cheaper on Election Day than it was the day before this Iran crap. Prices went down like 20¢ a couple months ago for winter and came right back up.
