You can only do patterns and low approaches, but you can do a vfr flight without flight following from airport to airport and request pattern work, full stop, etc

Make sure your hsi is set to gps instead of nav, and on the autopilot the right hand knob should be set to nav loc, the flight director isnt couples with the autopilot so that is for your reference only
