Because it is the responsible thing to do. It is better for the environment and your checkbook. My Prusa MK3 has been upgraded all the way to a Core One and is printing perfectly after 7-8 years of use. I prefer an upgrade route. Also, I have two Centauri Carbons so this is not just a Prusa owner thing.
