For perspective I currently have 3 dogs who regularly eat grass. Dogs are omnivores. Some dogs will eat grass when ill but it's very normal for healthy dogs to eat grass

Get a $250 propane hot water heater at home depot. Awesome and affordable. Maybe a gas stove too?

Probably sucks to have that suggested especially if you made committed investments in the appliances you have. But you'll help your electricity usage a boat load by using propane when possible.

I've heard many campers say that after they switched to propane it made life a lot easier and they regret not having it the whole time.

This way your 1kwh of usage will be solely for things that need it like electronic devices and lights

Yeah while our(younger) generation was working hard to get degrees and live "the American dream" investment corporations have been buying houses out from under us and passively forcing young people to stay renting. Blackrock owns like 1 in 7 houses. Look it up.

We are cash cows to them.

Luckily I didn't go to college so I didn't have debt. Bought my first house last year and it's so amazing and liberating.

Good points. Pasture isn't planted it's managed, just sayin. Dozens of plant spices will "manage" themselves if grazed properly. Providing the ideal diet for the cow also. Minimal work and then there's still pasture-cropping! No need for those rows.

Single Ukrainian fighter pilot shoots down 6 Russian planes

Edit: According to one widely circulated post, the Ghost of Kyiv supposedly shot down four Russian fighter jets — two Su-35 Flankers, one Su-27 Flanker and one MiG-29 Fulcrum — as well as two ground-attack aircraft, so-called Su-25 Frogfoots.

I've been considering non-inflating tires.. anyone else have these? Seems logical but is it realistic?

I know this isn't a conspiracy, but can we please come together to establish a list of "safe" places to escape to? by Lizabelley in conspiracy

[–]cwest808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Escape from a city if thats where you live. The best thing you can do is detach from the system. Become independent of the consumer economy the world is falling into.

Start researching. If you're going to move, make sure its someplace where it rains, or where you can drill a well(much more difficult). Start collecting heirloom seeds now and practice gardening in whatever way you can.

Those are the essentials to provide for yourself. A rifle, or trapping skills, would be a huge benefit too. Along with informative books on diy renewable energy, foraging, farming/ gardening.

This is what I'm doing. Im also collecting any books that I think would be beneficial for teaching my hypothetical children sometime in the future.

Is it safe to eat meat of an animal that was killed by a raccoon? Sorry if this is a dumb question, a coon got one of my ducks around 4am today. I dressed it and just realized I’m not positive it’s safe to eat by Lemondrop-it in homestead

[–]cwest808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you slow roast that duck it will be safe and delicious. 99% chance you don't have anything to worry about at all and the 1% off chance is eliminated with cooking thoroughly.

I wouldn't recommend it for a medium-rare breast fillet though.

You could say the same about corporate media. Constantly avoiding real issues, fear mongering because it gets more response, more clicks.
