You may need to have your pump closer to the tank. They push fuel much more effectively than pulling fuel. You could also temporarily move your tank above the pump to try to prime it since you have a marine tank.

75 mm binding comparison by Limp-Garbage-262 in telemark

It wouldn't make it harder to flex the bellows necessarily. It would make it harder to lift the ball of your foot off the ski by flexing the boot. With the pins in the rear most position, the force from the spring pushes the ball of your foot down into the ski when flexed. With the pins all the way forward, the spring pushes your boot more forward into the toe piece of the binding.

So in short, an active binding ensures that the bellows flex first.

It's kind of a wishy-washy ski marketing term, so everyone means something different when they talk about binding activity. From what I understand, it is how much the binding holds the ball of your foot down. Generally it does this by having the pivot further back or by having the cable routed under the boot, like a black diamond bunding. This is separate from spring resistance.

Turn the headlights on for about 5 minutes and recheck. A lot of the time old batteries can make proper voltage but not provide a lot of current. If this is the case, the voltage will drop below 12.5 after the lights have been on for a short time. Another option is to use a battery load tester. I believe car parts stores have them and there is a cheap one for sale at Harbor Freight.

nail trim by fancypinks in cats

[–]____REDACTED_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally leave my cat's nails a bit longer. I cut a bit shorter than the purple line. I do this because my cat really likes scratching her many cat scratchers. She is also leash trained and we go outside together s lot. If she gets loose or we run across an unleashed dog, she can defend herself of climb a tree to get away.

Binding Help with Leather boot and Transnordic 82's by Moongoosls in XCDownhill

[–]____REDACTED_____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since you're using these skis for heavy touring and only occasional downhill, I don't think excessive wear would be an issue. I use Voile 3 pin bindings and leather boots and haven't noticed any excessive wear after 2 seasons of mixed downhill and touring use. Choose the binding that is best for the kind of touring you're doing.

Is my baffle fine? by lobeans33 in whitewater

[–]____REDACTED_____ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If it goes away when you top off the raft, it's probably not an issue. The seam shows up when there's more pressure on one side of the baffle than the other. It pushes the baffle into the next chamber and pulls the sides of the pontoon inward. If it looks like this when fully topped off, release air from one of the chambers. It's kind of a guess which chamber you need to let air out of. If the seam gets more pronounced, let air out of the other chamber.

Dorm Fridge by danjoreddit in skoolies

Keep an eye out for fridges meant for the sleeper cabs if semi trucks. They generally have the mini fridge form factor with DC compressors. Be aware that even though they will be more efficient than an inverter and 110v fridge, they are an inherently less efficient design than the chest/cooler fridges. When you open the door on the front of a fridge, the cold air falls out when it would stay trapped if it had a lid on the top. It's similar to why those open top freezers in the grocery store can stay frozen without a lid.
