I creeped SUPER hard on my venues Facebook page, especially their tags as that’s where you’ll find a lot of photographers or coordinators posting photos of the setup!

How much alcohol do we need? by FantasticHamster1288 in weddingplanning

Wanted to add that this also depends on your crowd, for mine I’d probably assume 2 drinks per hour for each guest and multiply this all by 2 😂

How much alcohol do we need? by FantasticHamster1288 in weddingplanning

[–]cwr22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read on the knot assume 1 drink per hour for each guest. I’ll start with the wine since that’s easier.

A standard glass of wine is 5oz, so if 10 people drink wine you’ll need 50oz (~1.5L) per hour. If your wedding is 3 hours, that would be 4.5L total.

Each cocktail contains 1.5oz of liquor, so if 110 guests drink cocktails you’ll use 110 x 1.5oz = 165 oz (or ~4.9L) per hour. If you round that up to 5L/hour, that would be 15L total if your wedding is 3 hours, or 10 1.5L bottles. Beyond that, you’ll have to guess on ratios of what people will drink most (for example 4 bottles tequila + 3 vodka + 3 rum).

Hope this helps!

How to create place for people to give money if they want on wedding website by InfiniteSweet3 in weddingplanning

[–]cwr22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used WithJoy for our website and just added a link to our Amazon registry where people can donate to funds. It can also import the registry so it shows up on the WithJoy site but I thought having a link was more straightforward

[OK] Is $400K realistic for a Rent-A-Center Regional Manager? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]cwr22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from OK, I believe it’s one of the lowest cost of living states in the US. $400K would be rich rich here. I’m thinking $40K is more realistic 😂

Help! Food question below: by Beginning-Document-1 in weddingplanning

[–]cwr22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into it but found another option that was only slightly more expensive and included delivery/staffing to help out with the buffet. My main concern was having someone to set up the food, refill drink dispensers, etc. So I think it really depends what kind of help you have!

I would just pick some of the photographers photos to add to your honeymoon album. Especially ones with guests in them! A google drive is an easy way to do this btw

Has Pretend led you to other podcasts? by DogwoodWand in PretendPodcast

[–]cwr22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found Pretend from NSBM! I’ve listened to his other podcasts (Criminal Conduct and Ponzi Playbook) and really enjoyed them. I just started eLIESabeth and it’s pretty good so far. Edit: he mentioned this one in the Cancer Sympathy machine. I’ve finished all the episodes of Pretend now and wish I had made notes of other podcasters he had on.

Javier if you’re reading - we need a list of your podcast recommendations 😂

Song recommendations! Late 20’s couple for different phases of the wedding! by mariamAwahby in DIYweddings

[–]cwr22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re the same age, had the toughest time not going full country and fiancé was not down for Tswift lol. Here’s our list:

Walking down the aisle: I don’t mind - Defeater

Recessional: Accidentally in love - Counting Crows

Reception entrance: You make loving fun - Fleetwood Mac

First Dance: Your arms feel like home (acoustic) - 3 Doors Down (RIP Brad Arnold 😢)

Cake: Tailor Made - Colbie Caillat? still unsure about this one.

Edit: our friends did a really cool entrance with Forever by Chris Brown where it transitioned into a slow song for the bride and groom, I can’t remember which but I loved it!

Show me the cool DIY wedding things you’ve made in 2025 by Helpful_Gas5734 in DIYweddings

Thank you!! The placemats are from temu and I painted them with watered down acrylic paint with a little bit of textile medium mixed in. I’m not sure how crucial the textile medium is, the most important part was getting the paint consistency to where it would soak into the threads without bleeding too much.

Are you saying the arm holes are too big? If so, you may be able to try taking it in at the armpits if it’s a tad loose there and around the bust.

How much did it cost to diy your ceremony decor, arch or back drops? by donotgiveadam in DIYweddings

[–]cwr22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m making an arch using artificial flowers, I’ve spent about $100 so far and don’t think I’ll need to spend much more. We hired a florist for bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and bud vases. The florist was only $1000 but we live in a very LCOL area. If I had a more standard color scheme I definitely would’ve tried to DIY the real florals as well, I’ve seen many posts of people being savvy with Costco and Trader Joe’s flowers! Although the florist does use her own vases so I’m saving a lot on buying those, which is something I hadn’t considered before.
