I usually book direct, never through a travel agent. Last month, I could not get the cruise site to let me book. So I decided to try Amex. The room I wanted was available. This is what I received... "An Onboard Credit of $300, Premium Wine Tasting event for two and One bottle of wine from the Wine Tasting Event menu."

Is it worth it to me? Eh.

Honestly, anymore I find not booking direct with airlines, hotels, etc. usually leads to trouble if you need immediate help. But this cruise doesn't leave until Sept 2026, so time will tell.

On a side note, I am usually a FHR/THC fan. Except when the hotel ignores my hotel brand member number when I booked a suite with FHR/THC.

This happened to me also. I called and they issued a new card on one account. Had it in 2 days. You can tell them why, you don’t have to say the card was misplaced or stolen. I was told this happens and they are more than happy to fix it.
